I love Sanders, but infrastructure is kind of vague and cliche. And I also think it's a huge expenditure of public money and political capital. And its biggest function will be making sure that, when it eventually does come to pass, it won't be a Republican-lead giveaway to contractor cronies, which, let's face it, just means that Republicans will give away government money to some other cronies in other areas.
Imo it's sad that this is a remotely significant weighing of considerations to anyone.
"I mean, on one hand, we make our economy stable and sustainable, provide for those in need, prepare for the impending ecological disaster, and invest in our collective opportunity and education, instead of ushering in an apocalypse of corruption and government looting. But, on the other hand, gay people will think they have it harder than they do."
Also, friendly reminder that LGBTQ persons can still be legally discriminated against by the government and by private employers. They lack the rights that everyone else received 55 years ago.
