Elections LBGT rights is Joe Biden's #1 legislative priority

Pick the issues (up to 5) that are the most important to pass effective legislation on

  • Non universal healthcare reform

  • Universal healthcare

  • Border crisis

  • China's rise in wealth and power, off America's losses, or General trade imbalance issues

  • Urban crime (culture) spreading

  • School shootings/security

  • Gun laws generally

  • Stopping military campaigns in the middle East

  • Generally reducing power of the military industrial complex

  • America's infrastructure

  • Women's rights

  • Non white people "rights" (sry, but after equal rights by law, this one is 'extras for non-whites')

  • LBGT rights

  • Clean energy

  • More domestic energy of any kind, including clean and fossil fuels

  • Mental health

  • Legislation regarding the future of automation and its effects on people

  • Terrorism

  • Abortion

  • Weed becoming more corporate and government ran *cough* "legalization"

  • Regulating the power of tech corps to control free speech, and collect data etc...

  • Preventing media monopolies

  • Student loans

  • Continuing the investigations and proceedings resulting from alleged trump collusion with Russian go

  • Preventing other foreign interests from having undo influence on policy; ie Saudi or Israeli etc..

Results are only viewable after voting.
Regardless of the economy, Trump will again lose the popular vote by millions of votes...and if the economy takes a dive he loses by double digits in the millions.
Seeing how the media absolutely hates himz he should be the easier president to topple since Hoover. Basically the only way the Dems lose, is they field the worst candidate with the worst platform.
I don't want Trump, but if there's identity politics and all that crap, I'm voting for Trump. Otherwise I guess I'm voting for the Libertarian last or some other third party

I don't know. I tend to block out the sociopolitical environment of my university where a lot of the rhetoric that dominates so many thread topics on here emanates, don't spend a lot of time on campus and work in the industrial sector.

Nobody gives a fuck or pays attention to this stuff, everything is simply down to performance and experience. I don't think I could deal with a prototypical corporate office environment and its politics; I need a workshop, job site or laboratory.
Well that's smart. If I could go back, I would have done it differently. I like to be productive, but I'm not an ace at the family politics that have been infused into Corp America. Besides the insane hours, I think I would fit better into the Asian corporate world. Work steadily, don't offend anybody for no reason, focus on your own duties and raising the company up through your activities; that makes sense to me. I'm ok right now, but I'm on edge these days waiting for the next girl to play "let's have a problem."

So if you didn't think campaign donations from special interests had a direct impact on the legislation agenda of politicians, here ya go.

This is the most ugly, dishonest, disingenuous pandering I've ever seen. Just like Hillary didn't support gay marriage when she was still being 1/10th the human being she was raised to be, I'm sure Biden had the same line of thinking at the same time; but since I haven't researched it, I'll give somebody the chance to prove he has always been thee champion for celebrated sodemy.

The gay people I know are doing fine. They are treated well at work. The ones I know who aren't doing fine, all do a ton of hard drugs. I've considered faking being gay in interviews to get a better job. To act like their agenda, which most can see will advance forward no matter how accepting society becomes, is the most important issue America needs to address, is INSANE. The overcorrection once the people wrestle power away from their media is going to be ugly.

Anyways, politicians becoming totally different people than they are to pander is just grosser than gross. I'll take the guy that sounds dumb 20% of the time, but speaks from his real self more than 50% of the time, over this version of old Joe Biden any day.

For the poll, I may have missed a big issue, so sorry if I did. Pick up to 5.

how is campaign finance reform not an option but weed is?

i wish biden would go home.

Nobody cares in most environments. A lot of the stuff you read on here is comical levels of insecurity and paranoia. I mean, this thread started with him saying he has thought about pretending to be a homosexual in job interviews. I’ve interviewed a bit, never got the impression they were specifically looking for homosexuals. Lol. People who aren’t doing well just want to believe it is because the deck is stacked against them when it isn’t.

The same poster said that white women smile at his black friend more than him. He assumes this is because his friend is black, it just can’t be anything else, right?

I missed workers rights, and campaign finance reform. 2 big ones. I may do a poll with the 5 winners from these choices, and add those two in, as they would be near the top.

infrastructure seems to be low hanging fruit in the wr and the country at large. pity that our leaders cannot come together on it. i thnk CNN and Fox make it difficult for them to work together.

Different areas could be different. Most of the gay guys I know around here have job titles above their education level. Their gayness gives them an office politics advantage. I could get specific, but I don't feel like it.

Why do you assume it is because they are gay and not because they are earning those jobs through hard work?

You always take the identity approach to everything you see. On a regular basis you make sense of the world around you through a racial or sexual lens when a lot of the time it is completely unnecessary.

Interesting.

Imagine if CNN/MSNBC and FOX just stopped one day.

I wonder what could get done.

I honestly believe that our government spends about 70% of it's time fighting itself.

None of them are incompetent or unworthy of a good job.. But a lot of people aren't, and getting to that position is the trick. Bottom line, bossy feminine is more accepted than bossy masculine right now. It's wrong.

i prefer capitalism over other systems, but it has its problems. if fox and cnn stopped, someone would rush to fill that void.

tons of people out there want to be told that they know the truth, and the other side are all fools or corrupt. that + explosions and sex are what cable news sells. but when people believe that about their opposition, how can they support compromise with such people? our govt is designed function only with compromise, though. its a bad situation.

Realistically of course nothing but capitalism is on offer, someone like Sanders is basically pushing for more of a mixed economy and more management of capitalism, something that would not have seemed very odd at all in the mid 20th century people look back on as a golden era.

The normalisation of Reaganism(not limited to Republicans) and the shift to the right economically with it is really the issue, this isn't the system that "made America great" in the mid 20th century. The America of that era were so many people were raised into the middle class was a place of greater worker representation, of greater public spending and of far greater management of capitalism. Reaganism's legacy is near 40 years of stagnant real income growth for much of the population and a vast increase in the wealth of those at the top.

Trying to slap a bit of socially liberal paint over that is increasingly having a more limited appeal across the western world.

The backlash towards M2F trans people from lesbians started since forever, even more fury towards them than bisexual chicks. They're vodka and milk (both icky).

This isnt about being icky. The bill Biden was talking about would allow people like Fallon Fox to sue UFC - based on statements made by Dana and Rogan - for discrimination; and make it illegal for a gym to be for biological women only; etc.

No one thinks trannies should get fired for what they are, but these types of legislation tend to have unintended consequences.

People NEVER think about the unintended consequences when they're dreaming up these laws.

It's like the redneck who uses his shotgun to kill a fly on his wall. He doesn't concern himself with the buckshot that then flew through his wall and what that did, all he cares about is that the fly is dead.

<Lmaoo>

What fuckin sort of "homosexual" though, just someone with stereotypical overt feminine features and a flamboyant attitude that literally nobody likes? Christ. They usually aren't even 'gaylisters' or the type of gay people who tend to thrive in corporate America.

And what about twinks?

Dude is pulling a Hillary. thinks the DNC is all powerful and will make it all happen. Trump went on diet pills to do his campaigning. Hillary, Trump and Biden are all old and probably don't have a lot of energy.

I'm not sure if he thinks the DNC will have it all wrapped up or he just doesn't care and is trying to get as much money as he can while he can.
