Bushido Gomi in my opinion can beat any lightweight in history.
Sakurai was really tough as hell as well. Sakurai fought Silva and Hughes, prob the only guy to have fought those two, though I could be wrong.

It really comes down to if Khabib would beat those two because they were number 1 and number 2. I know moviated ___ is a running joke around here, but motivated Gomi and motivated Sakurai is as real as they come.

You'd have to favour Khabib to decision both, I think, but I think he could lose to both too.

I think so, but it depends on how his game translates to a ring as opposed to a cage. Even still, I think his wrestling will still be too good for any of the Pride LW's and he'd run through them.

Khabib fought half his life in the ring, he would actually do better in the ring. The cage fighter that you have seen is an adjusted fighter, that molded his fighting style to a new format.
Gomi...lmao, he has no shot. Would be super easy fight for Khabib.

Well, the answer to that is obvious too. There were no lightweight's other than maybe( maybe, as in an outside chance) BJ from that era, that could have given Khabib a run.

Gomi, Pulver, Sakurai, Aoki, Hansen, Aurelio, Ribeiro are some of the guys from back then or just later. Not easy fights. He'd likely stand with Aoki and Ribeiro and beat them there, take down the rest. Hughes beat Sakurai via TD's and top control. I'd guess Khabib would succeed in that. So Gomi would be his toughest fight with the power boxing and TDD.

The rules go both ways. Getting taken down against the ropes means they stay there or get reset back in the center. No cage walking. Yet according to some of Khabib's opponents his best TD's come against the fence. Harder to lock up against the ropes. The ring is for strikers to corner opponents easier, but Khabib's not a striker. Doesn't have the footwork. He'd go for TD's against the ropes. Get some, fail some.
