Oh sure... Trump is so scared.

As scared as he was to debate Kamala he wants to debate her three times while she only wants to debate him once.

So scared.

I have to give the Dems credit. Their strategy here is brilliant. Keep Kamala quiet, no in-depth interviews to show her idiocy and lack of mental acuity on real issues. She can't answer questions about the border or inflation so keep it to quick news blurbs with buzz phrases. Then plaster the Olympics with ads where she says she envisions "An America" where women can get abortions in every state freely and people can live off of 1 income. And just let Trump and Vance tweet away and bury themselves. Brilliant strategy imo. Because she talks too much, she loses. She shuts up and relies on identity politics, she wins.

I posted about this on the electric car thread in sherdogs pictures & multimedia threads.

What I warned about 7 years ago during the Trump Presidency that the US needed to subsidize automakers transition to electric cars we where going backwards. When I warned that we needed the government to secure materials in the making of batteries by signing multiyear leases with the Countries will the largest access to these materials. All we could hear is Trump joking about windmills and fake news about climate change. BYD saw its sales go from under 1 .4 million cars to 3.2 million in 2 years and seeks to top 4 million cars and light trucks next year. Tesla seen sales going down 20 percent in a similar deals. US keep listening to MAGA and drive itself into the ground.

Now Trump talking about solar batteries on cars 6 years after Aptera started to develop these EV cars but is only car company trying to develop such a car.

I guess former President Trump never heard of Aptera.

Let RJ Scaringe buyout Saudi Arabia stake in RIVIAN and subsidize battery makers and let him lead government efforts to compete with China. He is not going to worry about his net worth he will work with the Government to develop competitors to US manufactures and with direct resources to US automakers to assist on that end. He understand the entire production chain and let Elon run the rocket business.

He's yet to debate her, we'll see him on the agreed-upon date by both parties on September 10th. If DonOld truly wants to do more debates after that then he can reach out to the Harris team and negotiate terms like they did for this upcoming ABC debate.

The problem with this is having the MSM be her campaign propaganda is a very temporary strategy.

Sooner or later she's going to have to speak, without a teleprompter, in an interview. The longer she waits the more it telegraphs her weakness. It will be a very bad decision to wait until the Sep10th debate where she will have to come up with off-the-cuff answers to Trump's responses and challenges to her answers & record.

And bizarrely, a few political commentators on her own side are questioning why she's not doing any interviews.

Because she talks too much, she loses. She shuts up and relies on identity politics, she wins.

Don't think its going to work out like that.
Her silence about important issues and why she's supposedly changed policy positions only just recently (announced by a surrogate) are questions her own supporters are going to want answers to.

This time in 2020, Biden was ahead of Trump in the national polls by 5 to 8 points, and Trump eventually lost the national popular vote by 1 point when you remove the 3rd party votes.
If Kamala is only up by 2-3 points in the polls in the week before the election, her supporters should still be very very nervous.

Yeah, democrats tend to be easily lead by media, but even they would cringe if they had to see more of her.

I will say that the failed Kamala is brat meme might be the worst thing that I’ve seen pushed since Clinton said “Pokémon go to the polls”.

Aaaand we're back to not caring about polls again.

The funny thing about this is for the past 13 presidential cycles there's been three televised debates.

Different networks.
Different format.
Different subject matter.

All three debates were agreed to before the first one took place. Now Biden/Trump's june debate doesn't count, Kamala only wants to have ONE debate, and you're saying (as if you're her spokesperson) that Trump is going to have to beg Kamala to have more debates after the first one.

Not sure if you have a long memory... actually Paynebringer I know you don't.... but Kamala was quite poor in the 2019 debates when she was pressured by the other candidates for the Democrat primaries. Trump will have many more subjects to rip her on, so we'll see who'll be begging who for more debates.

No no no... wrong.
Polls do matter, but only the ones that have a history of accuracy for at least being within the margin of error... because both in 2016 & 2020 Trump exceeded the poll numbers predictions.

I shouldn't have to remind you what happened in 2016, and how Democrats were so shellshocked some believed for a time that Russia helped Trump steal the election, and some still believe it.

So why do you believe the polls?

At the end of the day when asked about inflation her response was a giggle and then "Well prices have gone up". Explain Ukraine to regular people: "Ukraine is a small country invaded by Russia, a larger country, and that's bad". Why have you not been to the border? "Well, I haven't been to Europe either". There are dozens of childlike answers on the tough questions that I am sure her handlers have worked on her with. Trump listens to no one. She would be so easy to pick apart if he listened to pros. But his ego won't let him. She truly is an idiot on the big stuff.

This is the problem when Trump was leading in the polls over President Biden threads would launch at 3 in the morning next day on Sherdog announcing that Trump leading over President Biden now that Kamala Harris leads the polls don't matter?

You forget,

This isn’t a marathon any longer. This race is now a sprint..

By the time you hear her speak without a teleprompter, she will already be in the Oval Office…

It’s working, soon.

The official agreed-upon debate schedule for the 2024 Presidential race ↓↓↓

2024 United States presidential election debates
No.Date and timeLocation
1June 27, 2024 9:00 p.m. EDTAtlanta, Georgia
2September 10, 2024Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
September 16, 2024 9:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. EDTSan Marcos, Texas

Nothing has changed except who's now running instead of Biden it's his running mate Kamala Harris. If you want to scratch the 1st then they can both agree to a make-up, the keyword "THEY" not just Trump on his own.

Kamala has openly said she's open to more debates with details to be worked out between both camps. I don't care how Kamala did back in 2019, it's 2024 Trump is no skilled debater the talk about the Biden/Trump debate is not about how well Trump did, but all about how badly Biden performed, The only talk about Trump is how many unchecked lies he told, which Biden failed to check him on. It's no wonder Trump is still wishing Biden would just come back.

Trump can't rip Harris on sh!t, he'll just rail about illegal immigrants and I'm anxious to hear his retort as to why he asked the Republicans to kill the very conservative-leaning bi-partisan bill that was endorsed by the border patrol union. If you're so concerned about the issue why kill the bi-partisan bill?

This is so pathetic. It's embarrassing that this is what we get.

CNN: "Would it kill you guys to have a press conference?"

HARRIS SPOX: Kamala holds rallies so she can read from her teleprompter!

CNN: "A campaign rally is not a press conference."

HARRIS SPOX: "We're gonna be having a sit-down interview here before the end of the month."

CNN: "Can you commit to a press conference this week?"

HARRIS SPOX: No.

CNN: "Can you commit to a press conference before the end of the month?"

HARRIS SPOX: No.

I think the Israel situation is still a pretty big penny in the air. Harris is doing a much better job of messaging on that front than Biden was to be certain, and not picking Shapiro as her running mate might be a signal that she'll move away from Biden's position of giving Netanyahu carte blanche to do whatever the hell he wants, but if Netanyahu starts a war with Iran, that'll put her in a tricky spot.

I also think it's just a matter of time before RFK drops out and endorses Trump. I don't think that'll have a huge impact (and the longer he waits, the less of an impact it'll have), but it'll help Trump a little bit.

It's also possible (though I don't think likely) that she'll have a poor debate performance against Trump. She did well against Pence in 2020, but it's hard to say definitively how she'll do against Trump.

One last nightmare scenario is that she wins, but a few states refuse to certify the results and the election gets kicked up to the Supreme Court. I think this is very unlikely though, and if it happens the US is a failed state and nothing matters anyways, so it's not worthwhile to dwell on it.

That said, yeah, the momentum is definitely in Harris' favor right now, but Dems can't afford to get complacent.
The debate looks like the only remaining hurdle to me. Shouldn't be too much trouble and I expect a slew of major endorsements in the Fall.
