Just watched mad max for the first time

I didn't understand the hype. I couldn't believe so many people liked it.

Edit: Nevermind, I thought we were talking about Fury Road.

OP basically articulated my thoughts on Fury Road. That was a pile of shit.
It was a great ride, but holy shit did Miller ever troll women in that.

This review really points that out. I disagree that it was a bad film, as I loved Tom Hardy as Max (needed more Max). The action was great and the cinematography was easy on the eyes. I can't disagree how idiotic the women were in this were though, and his motivations. Def not the best script, but what a thrill ride nonetheless!

IT has nothing on TRW. I can rewatch that film anytime. I've watched Fury Road twice, and probably wouldn't care to see it again, at least not for a while.

wtf is with all the fury road hate? fury road is probably the greatest action movie of all time (srs). the 80s max movies were basically amateur shit as george miller learned how to create a masterpiece like fury road.

It did nothing for me either, I don't know what to tell you.

The plot was worse than Beyond the Thunderdome too

, watch it now and you're embarrassed to admit enjoying it.

Mad Max Fury Road is a slap in the face of the franchise. The strength of the movie is the hopelessness and that everybody is barely getting by. That's all gone in fury road. Burning fuel for fun and water for days? And why the fuck would you tie someone to the front of a truck playing a flamethrowing guitar?! I got genuinly irritated watching that pile of shit they call a movie..

Roadwarrior and Beyond Thunderdome are classics. Mad Max is a bit hard to watch but that's just because of the era and the budget.
I always assumed that after a while in a post apoc society like that, eventually new powers will rise up. That is what 4 had. 3 different towns with their own specific resources allied to make themselves stronger.

I guess. It's just that for me personally it lacked the depressing atmosphere. It turned into a simple action movie with zero credibility. But as I said that's just personal.

The Mad Max series gets better with each sequel.
Despite what the critics say, Max Max Beyond Thunderdome is a damn good movie!
Don't you dare skip out on part 3
Beyond the thunderdome is my favorite Mad Max
