I don't understand why people that like the mad max franchise can sit through Fury Road. Especially with the guy playing the flaming guitar.. wtf was that all about?!
That movie sucked dick. Couldn't even finish it. Action without any supporting plot is fucking boring.

His resume is insane
It really is. And He's STILL killing it. Was great in GOTG 2, hateful 8, and bone tomahawk just off the top of my head.

What a fucking legend.

Anything can be trash if you have the wrong expectations.

Mad Max can be an enjoyable watch, but not if you're wanting Road Warrior / Fury Road.
I enjoy the mood and tone of Mad Max and the way that the revenge elements are far from pleasant. Even after Max gets his payback, it isn't a moment for celebration. And I like that a lot.

Road warrior and thunder dome are better imo.

I had no idea what to expect when I watched this but I loved it. Was a wild fun ride.

i prefer the classics like mad max 1, then 2, 3 was ok i guess
the new one i don't even consider it as a same w/out mel
It's just made for it's effects and wild show

You have to watch mad Max with the time in mind. There was nothing like it in 79, it was done on a shoe string because that was the only way it could be done. It was like a birthing scream of the eighties. Nobody had seen any shit like that with Aussie realness throughout, it was brutal.

that scene with the handcuffed guy set on fire always haunted me back in the days
the soundtrack is superb too
it was a very advanced movie for it's time
also mel was the epitome of a guy gone completely mad, dude looked mental

I loved Fury Road - And if you read about it there is a lot going on behind the scenes. They should have made it a mini-series to explain everything. I read a ton of the behind the scenes stuff and it makes it so much more interesting rather than just a 2 hour car chase through the dessert.

Explain WHY the war boys did what they did and why they served Joe and scarred themselves and stuff like that.

But again, there is so much more to it and I wish it was a 10 part series.

Anyway to TS, I actually never saw original Mad Max but I might. I did see and loved Road Warrior and the one with Tina Turner.
