Very cute you keep accusing people of lying, when not one person in this thread or Pence himself confirmed any deaths or even accused Assange of getting people killed.

The word used was "endangered", and still I wouldn't expect the government responsible for protecting the lives of these soldiers and informants to confirm or deny publicly whether or not this theft lead to the deaths of our people to protect operational security or give credit to our enemies.

Exposing possible war crimes committed by the U.S. was not an act of benevolence. Anybody who commits war crimes deserves to be exposed, but Assange clearly disagrees, since he actively worked to whitewash Putin's own nefarious behavior in Syria. If he was simply concerned about corruption, or atrocities, regardless of its source, he would not be behaving like this.

So a guy that was being pursued by the most powerful country in the world should have turned around and also pissed off a powerful, authoritarian state like Russia?

His "embrace" of Russia and Putin was clearly an act of self-preservation. At one point, the US was openly discussing the possibility of abducting and murdering him so to side with an enemy of the US is a rational move. This is why he lived in the Ecuadorian embassy for so many years as well. Correa was the Ecuadorian president at the time and he was a harsh critic of US imperialism (was part of the original Latin American pink tide along with Hugo Chavez, Evo Morales, and Lula).

They also asked jr. for his dad's tax returns. Their reasoning was that the New York Times already leaked part of it and it was only a matter of time before the whole thing was released. If Jr. let Wikileaks leak them it would help give the illusion that Wikileaks was unbiased.
