This video was when he was preparing to fight Ngannou. He had accepted the contract but was still waiting whether Ngannou would sign it, which ended up leading to no and him fighting Gane. Damn, he looks big and strong, wow... I think that shoulder injury stuff kinda fucked him up. Needing surgery and 6 months off the gym, and needing to get the pounds back might suck. I think he had hinted that that's the weight he'd have liked to fight Stipe or any other opponent after Stipe in HW (back then, Aspinall or Alex).

Jones had also said he still moved like a LHW even weighing ~248 lbs vs Gane, that if anything the speed loss was small and compensated by better technique/timing and KO power. I think he also hinted at his reflexes rotting a little after the injury and inactivity when he fought Stipe.

Keep the good work OP.

Jones lives rent free in their heads. Very similar to Trump Derrangement Syndrome.

Thanks man. Funny when the "too many JJ threads" comes from the guy who just made a JJ thread. Fair enough, I have nothing against his thread. But for him, it's just a serious thread when it's under the "let's all bash JJ as a fighter" .... When it's about showing what I legit think, many times giving outright evidence that I took a lot of time to read into, it's no longer a serious thread because it isn't within the "bash JJ fighting prowess club". While ignoring that some threads I argue against the "JJ is the best" idea as well, since I'm not in here to be blind to one side only.

They want an echo chamber at all times though, basically. That's why that guy along with other ones dismiss "too many essays", as in, they know their overall position is less likely, so they have the basic card of dismissing it... Which kinda works pretty well these days too since most ppl are adverse to reading whatever isn't a one liner catch phrase joke or a meme....

The body scissor wasn't insane, you are. Jon has looked increasingly worse at HW, he's a duck, and you should stop white-knighting him.

He doesn't care, he has a woman, get off his nuts.
havent seen a HW do a body scissor
can you post nganou doing it or tom aspinal?

I mean, if this here isn't trolling, then what is it? I can't help but laugh when reading those....

If you want to pay me to follow both around 24-7 waiting for it to happen, it's going to get real expensive for you.

Btw, I don't know if that was a scissor lmao. I was just going off the title of the video. That was a trip, though it was different though, as Jon Jones taking him down wasn't like a typical trip, he lowered his knees and used it to take the sparring partner off balance and then used his upper body to throw him down in a position in which that isn't found at all in trips used in MMA. But yeah I just assumed that could have been a body scissor due to the title lol
