Lance Armstrong also had an overrated legacy
I semi agree
He should have 3 losses. A loss to Reyes, Santos and Gust then his career would be viewed differently.
Let’s seeNo. He really doesn't have an overrated legacy.
He beat top 5 fighters in their primes and destroyed them.
Well the comparison is with Cormier. Jones had the testesterone levels of a 90 year old man. DC was in the acceptable range. Maybe DC was also on the roids. Who knows. But Jones got caught constantly and looked ordinary after usada. You can likely claim everyone's on PED's especially the top fighters like Diaz says. So was he really cheating if he was? Probably he wanted to even the playing field if he was.
Let’s see
bonnar lol
O’Brien lol
Hammill lol
Vera lol
Vlad lol
Bader - green but decent win
Rua - washed up
Rampage - washed up
Lyoto - decent win but twice his size
Evans - washed up & twice his size
Vitor - old and half his size short notice almost got arm broken
Gus - Lost
Glover - decent win
DC - never great and half his size. Jones juiced up but probably the most “prime” guy he’s fought
OSP - pathetic showing lol
DC- lol we all know what happened here
Gus- washed up
Smith- never very good & neither did anything
Santos- Lost and looked like shit (santos had zero functioning legs)
Reyes- Lost and looked like shit (Reyes isn’t good)
And we’ll just leave out all the eye gouging and roids
Didn’t beat anybody in their prime except maybe DC & stretching it for lyoto. Also hasn’t destroyed anybody since like Obamas first term lol
So yeh. Overrated as hell
No Jones was always a size bully who never dared move up. His wins look good on paper but a lot of fights were way closer than people pretend. Lots of decisions, some of which he should have lost. It’s quite the opposite. No one has a fight record like Jones. He destroyed so many former champs. Several in spectacular fashion.
It’s the chemical enhancement that tarnishes his legacy.
By a "bunch", you mean two. And Shogun was so "washed up" that he was the UFC champion when Jon Jones beat him.
Which puffed up middleweight did he beat, outside of Chael & Belfort? Machida? Machida only went to middleweight after fighting Jon Jones, prior to that he was good enough to be LHW champ. Nobody else on his resumé could make 185 comfortably.
The only gift decision he had was the Dominic Reyes fight, which is also when you could clearly see decline in his abilities. There are no other "gift" decisions, including the Gustafsson fight. That was a clear 3-2 fight for Jon Jones.
Again, sorry to break it to you, but all your heroes in this sport are on some kind of PEDs. Same thing as your heroes in soccer, basketball, football. They're all on some shit. The sooner you can come to that realization and accept it, the better.
Let me know when you start taking the relevant factors into account.

My question is who has a better resume than Jon Jones?
His two best wins are over a 40 year old obese 5'7" blown up LHW, whose best of his career is a lucky fluke KO of 40 year old Stipe (a guy that got slept by Struve in his prime, Struve being a guy that lost to old Arlovski who got slept by Datsik in his prime) who then destroyed him twice afterward.

GSP's is just as good imho. Also won a second belt.
Hughes x2
Penn x2
Koscheck x2
Condit
Diaz
Fitch
Shields
Bisping
Hendricks
Sherk
Alves
Karo
Serra
etc
Jones has a resume that consists of a lot of former champs because the belt changed hands often. After Hughes' reign, GSP denied a whole bunch of people who could have easily been champ.
That was arlovski's first fight, Sherdog gonna SherdogHis two best wins are over a 40 year old obese 5'7" blown up LHW, whose best of his career is a lucky fluke KO of 40 year old Stipe (a guy that got slept by Struve in his prime, Struve being a guy that lost to old Arlovski who got slept by Datsik in his prime) who then destroyed him twice afterward.
