Jon said that he for sure had 2 fights left. Francis and Stipe. Francis left so it changed to Gane and Stipe. Tom was nowhere in the picture. If anything.

Aspinall was not in the picture at all, he was not even on the radar for a belt or even considered a top 3 division HW fighter at the time. I do not know how that is hard to understand or know but this is sherdog. But now all of a sudden he is a fighter who should be moved ahead of Stipe after the contract was inked, absolutely ridiculous.

Also no, Jones is the champion, that alone means he doesn't have the right to pick his fights. He has to fight whoever the #1 contender is, and as the interim champion that is undoubtedly Tom Aspinall.

Jones has just a single win in the weightclass, he has no right to start picking and choosing opponents. Tom's HW resume for outstrips his own. Aspinall has finished 4 of the current top 10 in a combined 8 minutes. Jon has beaten Ciryl, and.... oh yeah that's literally it.

When did ranking and wins ever matter to the UFC matchmakers? Many former champs have that privilege of picking fights based on drawing power. Jon Jones doesn't need to fight aspinall, simple as that really.

How ffs do the 2 compare at all? Shogun didn't retire until recently and Shogun for over a decade after losing to Bones. The correlation makes no sense. Jones wants to fight 1 more fight and Stipe is the only name left in HW wether hes a shell or not.
