like was his mother telling the truth or not, the photo showed that Wayne certainly wasn’t being honest
It's possible she could have written that note herself, to feed her own delusions.

Good point but even after the realisation that

the relationship wasn’t real, if he did in fact realise that at all

His plan still seemed to be

shooting himself on the show

So I just don’t see that as a option at all

If I had to use one sentence to describe this film it would be ‘if ken loach directed ‘you were never really here’ with a DC licence and Gaspar Noe as a advisor’.

It’s a very grim movie
I'm not sure he ever actually believed his relationship with Sophie was real. Maybe those weren't delusions as much as just daydreams.

About to see it in 30 min.

BTW avoid war room Joker threads. They are.... Hate to say the word.... toxic.

Yeah perhaps, I love that we don’t get many straight answers in this movie

Other than thinking the social worker was the same woman as the ho a sho at the end.
When he said that I thought it was just me being stupid and completely missing it haha thanks for the clarification.

You get what you fucking deserve!

shit was bone chilling
I love how his victim become so fucking lifeless after that. Like he was actually a living human being before Joker pulled the trigger, and now he’s fucking dead! Every other movie when someone gets shot you’re like “meh” but in Joker, you’re like “ holy shit! He off that n!gga!”

Batman Begins originally was supposed to be a one shot, but the ending teased Nolan.

The same thing is happing with Joker with its lead actor and director.

Good movie.

I didn't think it was a masterpiece like some did, Phoenix held the movie together and without his performance, it's an average movie.

That being said, his performance was incredible and anyone voting this movie less than a 7.............I'm not even sure what to say.

Jaquin.. DO NOT POP PILLS.

We like you. We need you. Sober Joker is best Joker.

As for the content of the interview, very interesting.

Just saw it. The whole incel hysteria makes absolutely no sense.

This movie wasn't a "now" movie. This movie was a movie that could have been made in any of the last 4-5 decades. I disagree with your opinion.

I don't get it either . The main character is a working class stiff in bad economic times who is battling mental illness brought upon repressed PTSD and was pushed over the edge by a shit city with shit people in it . Yeah reacting by becoming a killer isn't ideal but he isn't exactly the incel champion that some sites would make you believe he is.

Joker cost $65 mil to make. It's already at $544 mill world wide and isn't done, impressive for an R- Rated film.

When committing your first murders acts as the catalyst for finally giving you the balls to seize a woman in a moment of alpha passion, I would say that’s a pretty strong case for an incel correlation.

Especially when the sexual escapade ended up being nothing but a mere beta fantasy.
