Bro, it such a GOAT drop off

For comparison

Black Panther had a 45% dropoff

Some websites are even saying that Joker might end up flirting with a 1 billion worldwide total

I'm telling anybody and everybody who will listen to go see it. That includes my mom, who hates violence, but loves Joaquin Phoenix.

You're right. But people treated him like he was good for nothing. And he was actually a good guy. He was not a bad person at all at the beginning.

But you know what's so amazing about this movie? How you end up rooting for the bad guy. It reminds me of another GOAT film..."Unforgiven". By all accounts, Will Munny was a despicable, murderous person as a young man. But because we see him as a sad, guilt-stricken man, later in life, we feel pity for him and actually root for him.
I hope you stopped rooting for Arthur once he started killing people, though.

Joaquin Phoenix played Supergirl ...I mean Superkid in the superboy tv series.
Never watched that scene until now. They actually showed him burning a guy to death? In a children's TV show? What the fuck?!

Truly destined to be the Joker

Or Dexter

I don't get it either . The main character is a working class stiff in bad economic times who is battling mental illness brought upon repressed PTSD and was pushed over the edge by a shit city with shit people in it . Yeah reacting by becoming a killer isn't ideal but he isn't exactly the incel champion that some sites would make you believe he is.

Indeed. Sexual frustration isn't the motivating factor.
He even gets over his woman hurdle, even though it's just in his mind.

Kids weren’t as meek back in those days.

If anything he could be a SJW champion, except for him being a white male of course... but he should be a poster boy for mental health awareness.

Enjoyed the hell out of it. Was expecting not to kinda...mostly just because I didnt feel Joker needs an origin etc...Phoenix is amazing. My wife felt the first half was unbearably slow and boring, i felt like the movie mirrored the tension inside Fleck building and building. The last 45 minutes was amazing and where Phoenix truly shined imo...you could see him start to be more comfortable once he stopped trying to hold himself back...pretty cool stuff...I actually wish they had leaned a little more into
psychology behind laughing all the time at inappropriate things, and a way of dealing with that is to just go with it and find non-funny things hilarious as a way of coping with uncontrollable laughing...i feel like that was the point of having his laugh be a condition, but felt it could've been used more effectively/more overtly
. overall, good movie, will watch again, just still don't know that the character needed it....a lot like El Camino in that way honestly

Tried to watch last night, but there were no streams where I didn't have to sign up

Well, I like horror movies, which the Joker kind of was. So it's kind of a complicated relationship I have with the villain. I was rooting for him in the sense that I wanted to the story to continue and hope there is a sequel.

If they do a sequal, I hope he becomes a little more theatrical like the comics and cartoon Joker. I think they could do it realistically too. It would be fan-fucking-tastic!

Well that's OK then.

Weird things you find in youtube.

30 something Lex Luger played evil superboy in said series too.

lmao they throw him in a garbage can and he toasts the guy to ash damn hahaha

Watched it again still a good movie with Phoenix doing some of the best acting I have ever seen.

Something I noticed tho the scene where he comes down the stairs in full makeup basically the arrival of Joker....... The music they played in the background was like Queen we will rock you or some BS. It was just a weird piece of music for the movie.

It's Rock and Roll Part 2 by Gary Glitter also known as the Hey Song. Not so fun facts Glitter is a a piece of Shit :eek::eek::eek: sex offender. Song is famous at sporting events but most people don't know its creator is a piece of Shit .

Yeah but I always understood incels as creating barriers of their own. "Arthur Fleck" has actual shit going on , depression, abuse. An actual victim to his circumstances , incels are victims in their own heads.

Well each "incel" has a different situation. Some might be self loathing and some might have gotten fucked up by a shitty step parents and cant function because of extreme bullying in the past. I feel like we need to be very careful with the labelling. Each person is going to have their own trials and tribulations that they deal with in life.

Understanding is the key, we need to understand and do research to see how different incels have grown in to their current mental disposition to see if its truly their fault of being weak or have they been gaslighted? Once different motive is established then we need to develop different solutions that befits their respective causes.

I heard they might remove it for the blu ray release

Let’s hope they do because it’s bad

I disagree. It was odd, but that made it work for me.

That song has moved past whoever created it. George Washington might have nailed a 13 year old. I mean.. Yeah. We can't retroactively change things that have become part of the fabric like that. That's dumb.
