Keep going. If you have this one truth, then it must encompass everything, doesn't it? Can you distill that truth down to a basic premise? Something like "do not cause harm to others"? If so, does "others" include all life, or just human life?

My son was horrified and upset when he heard his best friend lie to his parents in grade one , it never occurred to him that you could or would like to your parents, he certainly wasn't scratching or biting anyone lol

I've got some bad news for you, my friend. Abused children will have worse behaviors, but "normal" loved children will have impulsive and bad behaviors too. We have little monkey brains and to grow up and mature is to "supposedly" learn how to properly control our bad impulses and understand "consequences" to our actions... be it consequences to ourselves and to the ones around us.
If you raised a children and he was this perfect little kid who never did wrong you either blinded yourself to it (happens to a lot of parents) or the kid figured a way to hide some things. Or maybe he's saint and some religious people will eventually pray to him, there's this chance also.

I get it. I raised my son with love and understanding. Sure, he did wrong here and there, but he never scratched and bit at people.
