Joe Rogan isnt sold on the Bing Bang theory finds Jesus resurrection more plausible

Numbers 31

7 They fought against Midian, as the LORD commanded Moses, and killed every man.
8 Among their victims were Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba—the five kings of Midian. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword.
9 The Israelites captured the Midianite women and children and took all the Midianite herds, flocks and goods as plunder.
10 They burned all the towns where the Midianites had settled, as well as all their camps.
11 They took all the plunder and spoils, including the people and animals,
12 and brought the captives, spoils and plunder to Moses and Eleazar the priest and the Israelite assembly at their camp on the plains of Moab, by the Jordan across from Jericho.

Ok so God ordered the Israelites to enslave women and children as plunder. Your god is immoral according to you!
Old Testament stuff.

Jesus brought a new covenant into being which was already promised in Jeremiah 31:31–34. And Hebrews, which is a key book on this topic, says, “In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away”(Hebrews 8:13).

So it's not always immoral to enslave, kill and rape? Depends on the time period?

I get it. I raised my son with love and understanding. Sure, he did wrong here and there, but he never scratched and bit at people.

We are monkeys, and chimps can be the most loving and nurturing animals on the planet.

I raised my son to love. It wasn't easy every step, but we walked that path.
I was raised by really loving and caring parents. Every time they needed correct and discipline me on anything they would have a conversation with me and explain how what I did was wrong and why the discipline was coming from a place of love.

I was never a violent kid, but I do have this one memory engraved in my mind of a stance that an older cousin of mine didnt want to give me a toy (a bobble making toy), I got mad and just pushed her. It happens that she was on the second floor of grandma's house. The moment I did that I knew it was wrong, I run and hid. I was 4 years old at the time but I have this memory til today, it kind of haunts me. There was no consequences for me because by luck she didnt break any bones and for whatever reason she didnt rat me out. I just acted totally out of impulse because I wanted to play with the toy, I wanted at that moment and she didnt want to give it to me. It was a total outlier in my life, but monkey wanted, monkey acted. My mother doesnt know this story til today as I feel extremely ashamed of that behavior and what could've happened.

My point here is that If somebody asked about me to my mom, she would give the same answer you gave even though shit may have happened that she wasnt aware. Kids does act on impulse from time to time, even if they are loving and nurturing good behaving kids.

No... oh this is interesting, do you believe events are portrayed accurately in the bible? Do you believe this specific event happened like the author wrote it?
I think you should take what is useful and discard what is useless.

The Bible was obviously written by men and it contains a lot of universal wisdom as well as a bunch of outdated stuff that doesn’t apply.

As for this specific event, obviously the further back in history you go, the more difficult it would be to verify so yeah some of the Old Testament stuff is questionable, but again the book is not meant to be taken literally, and whether something really happened or not is less relevant than the lesson that it teaches.

I've raised a son and in no fucking world was he scratching or biting people.
You understand that this is a normal phase kids go though, yeah? I don’t think a toddler is watching somebody scratch or bite somebody else and then doing it because they witnessed it. They do it because they lack emotional regulation.

Correct

You can just ask me what I think if you’re curious. The answer is yes they shouldn’t kill innocent civilians, but they should absolutely put an end to Islamic terrorist scum.
Oookay so is it ok to kill 100 innocents in the hopes of killing one person who may or not be not be a terrorist aka indiscriminately bombing?

Definitely not, not sure why you’re grilling me of all people with these questions, I’m not pro Israel in any way.

Perhaps I am of higher intelligence, as is my son.

So enslaving people just as moral as not enslaving people, cause "who are we to judge"?

We are to judge because we are intelligent and thus highly aware of the suffering enslavement causes. This allows us to conceive we do not wish to endure slavery and the concept of treating others as we wish to be treated which comes from living in a society inclines us to the preference of not participating in slavery.

We are so aware of the suffering involved in slavery that enduring the distress that comes with carrying it out can be uncomfortable enough I don’t feel it’s worth the free work I receive.

We make these kind of judgements based on experience and awareness all the time.

You are a smart cookie, no doubt there. Your kid probably is too and it sounds like you are paying attention and working hard to raise a good human being. Keep fighting that good fight sherbro
I don't profess to know the truth. You fight, right? What's your favorite fighter?

I've got two. Alexis Arguello is my first. He never stopped. I'm gonna chill and watch his fight with Pryor. And nah, I ain't smart.
