As for religion, I'm not gonna talk about something from 500 years ago, people did all kinds of fucked up shit with or without religion... barbarism, slavery, cruelty, these things were all part of everyday life long before Christianity came along, try reading a history book from time to time.

I also have the right to ridicule the liberal atheist who is every bit as zealous and religious as the people he looks down on but is too dumb to see his own hypocrisy.

following a religion is literally believing not only that there was a creator, but that the creator gives a fuck about every person, spoke to people thousands of years ago, and they are living their life in accordance to what they believe this god wants them to.

Secular liberals take all their morals from Christianity and for the most part live like Christians, while at the same time bashing everything about the religion.

atheism isn't a belief system. Plenty of religious and irreligious societies have rules about not murdering and stealing.

If you just believe in Darwinism and survival of the fittest, why have a rule about theft and murder?

Do you apply these rules to the animal kingdom? They kill who they can, and they take what they want, why would there be some special set of morals for humans if there is no purpose to our existence or belief system?

Atheism has nothing to do with Darwin, big bang, those are separate things. An atheist may believe in those things or they may not. Atheism is just not opting into any positive belief about a god or gods.

After that, it's just opting into social norms, whether you believe in those norms or just want to avoid the consequences of not opting into them.
 
Atheism is the lack of belief in a god. That's it. A lack of belief is not a belief. You have to be a fucking idiot to not understand that.
