I think a Colby from 5 years ago would've taken some punishment, but not as much, and won a UD (especially in a 5 rounder) tonight via his wrestling. He's not the same at age 36 and after that long layoff and Mas incident.his grappling looked really bad, belal lays on him for 5 rounds
Maybe, but Belal is the same age as Colby (36). He hasn't taken as much damage (especially Colby's two 5-round wars with prime Usman) but he'll start showing his age soon. I just don't know when. Here we go again. Buck just beat a washed Colby. That does NOT mean he has anything for Belal.

Belal is 36. He's fortunate that he hasn't taken much damage, but Father Time isn't on his side.Belal haters coping because they know he's going on a generational run.
Yeah, I posted this in another thread.By far the most reasonable port I’ve read on the topic. Colby is a social media personality now, he hasn’t been committed to MMA since his battles with Usman in their prime.
Even then Buckley didn’t dazzle in a layup fight, he got the result but he showed all the holes in his game that got him bounced out of MW.
Yeah, I posted this in another thread.
"Buckley looked good against a clearly past-prime Colby. Buckley has never gone more than 3 rounds, though. And he has that heavily-muscled physique like Hector Lombard, who didn't have great cardio after a couple of rounds. I'll be curious how he does in the championship rounds against someone like Belal, Shavkat, Garry or Edwards. Especially if he gets held down or against the cage for long periods."
