Convicted phile Jeffrey Epstein is dead of an apparent suicide, law enforcement sources said Saturday.

A gurney carrying a man who looked like Epstein was wheeled out of the Manhattan Correctional Center around 7:30 a.m. The ambulance went to New York Downtown Hospital.

The incident comes two weeks after Epstein, 66, was placed on suicide watch after he was found nearly unconscious in his cell with injuries to his neck.

The multimillionaire financier is being held without bail pending trial on child sex-trafficking charges. Thousands of documents unsealed Friday in connection with a defamation case against the perv’s alleged recruiter revealed dozens of high-profile names that a self-identified victim, Virginia Giuffre, said she was forced to perform sex acts with, from former Maine Sen. George Mitchell and ex-New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, money manager Glenn Dubin and MIT professor Marvin Minksy.

Epstein was busted July 6 over the alleged sexual abuse of dozens of young girls in his Upper East Side townhouse and his waterfront mansion in Palm, Beach, Florida, between 2002 and 2005.

He has pleaded not guilty and faces up to 45 years in prison if convicted.

I can believe the part about George Mitchell. He was involved in a child prostitution scandal (or at least named as a 'customer', I should say) back in the late 80s-early 90s in Penobscot County, ME....

@Fawlty Might be my upbringing but there really is a sucker born every day. It doesn't matter how things really are, people see what they want to see and want to believe. The best way to scam people is by making them believe they're the ones that are perceptive and everyone else is a rube. Once they've gotten to a point where they think they've discovered something by using their intelligence and critical thinking, the pride kicks in and that's the sinker. I once was told "when you believe you can't be conned, you're already halfway there".

And I'm also guessing you live in a pretty affluent and 'safe' country like America too, right? Just imagine what goes on in war torn places like Syria or Yemen, where they sell kids in cages to people as sex slaves. There was a documentary about the boy rape in Afghanistan, how the US soldiers had to stand down even tho they could hear boys being raped by full grown men on a nightly basis and could do nothing - it was part of culture there and the US did not want to upset it's relationship with new government officials (who were often the worst offenders).

And as bad as all the foreign stuff is that we turn a blind eye to, we even do just as bad or worse: Sey Hersch discovered that the US soldiers at Abu Ghraib were raping boys in front of their mothers to try and extract information out of them.

I don't blame people for wanting to be basic bitches and asleep sheep (like many on this forum), to think we live in a good world, that our leaders are good people and everything that offends my safe space is a 'kookspiracy'. The Epstein case is just beyond sexual deviancy, as it shows how guys like Epstein and MOSSAD will give underage children to people in power, secretly record them, and then they use this leverage to later control them and to have them do their bidding. "Oh you don't want vote to bomb Lebanon? How about we release this video of you sodomizing a 15 year old?". The fact the most powerful people on the planet, from a litany of countries were involved in this should send chills down everyone's spine and serve as a reminder that we have a long way to go to clean up this mess. This makes the Catholic rape problem look like small peanuts.

Nobody wants to live in a world where kids are systematically tortured, raped and even taken for organ harvesting. Serbian kids were kidnapped, their hearts and kidneys were being taken out during NATO air strikes in Kosovo. UN knew about it, NATO knew about it. Their organs were transported to S. Arabia and Israel. Whoever wants to know more, search "yellow house organ harvesting". Anyone remembers those kids that Clinton's assistant tried to smuggle out of Haiti? What do you think they were going to do with them? What about those missing kids in Canada that were taken by Queen of England? Examples are countless.
