Went with the both murder and suicide option and I’m hardly a conspiracy theorist. Even for me this is a little fishy. But it’s totally possible the guy offer himself. I guess he was on suicide watch a month ago but he wasn’t now? He tried to do it once and he won’t ever get out of prison. Wouldn’t be that shocking either way.

Well I don't know. Did they fuck up? Did someone look away intentionally or unintentionally? What kind of surveillance was he under, and how far were the guards? A person can do a ton of harm to themselves in a very short amount of time. It's also possible to asphyxiate yourself without technically hanging from the ceiling, etc. You can do it laying down, under the blankets and so on. Or even just with your back turned to the cameras.

Barr triggering those investigations is huge.

Their is no reason to investigate a suicide. That is why we never hear anything following suspicious suicides. Once it is declared a suicide, the debate is over. Can't be murder if he killed himself. Case closed, no crime here. Nothing to investigate.

Of course there is. Any suicide would be investigated. You are deranged. I bet all such things are investigated, the moreso the higher the profile of the case. There was an investigation into Aaron Hernandez's suicide for example.

If there wasn't an investigation you would be like, "See! They are just gonna sweep it under the rug."

Is that what happened? Can guards make human mistakes? Was he under 24 hr surveillance and what does that look like at that institution? How far were the guards from him? Moments. It only takes moments for someone to kill themselves.

This sounded like a setup to me until I read he was no longer on suicide watch. That makes it easier for him to do it. But how the fuck did they take him off suicide watch? Still sounds shady. Even if it wasn't an actual person strangling him to death just leaving him to his own devices can be considered murder. Whoever was responsible for taking him off suicide watch will have a lot to explain.

If not, maybe we do need to take a look at who Barr's boss is, and why he didn't answer these questions.

Whoever was in charge of supervising him needs to be very seriously reviewed. The reason that suicide risks need such excruciatingly close supervision is because of how extremely easy it is for them to pull it off given just a couple moments of time to act. There has to be very very tight observation without lapse. But people make mistakes, or are negligent, or maybe they do follow all the procedures and it still doesn't work. That happens. It's very difficult to keep someone fully restrained in perpetuity. They have rights, hearings, exercise time, and so on and so on. The people doing the evaluations can do as good a job as they can yet still have their hands tied by subjects that understand how to compose themselves. the observation procedures at that facility need a review at the very least.
But we can always hope that he at least didn't get to off himself and was rather brutalized to death in some heinous fashion. I'd like that very much to have been what happened.
