Two of the very best.

Tough loss in losing James Horner at a fairly young age, he had tons more to give imo.
Hans Zimmer is simply a genius.

Who do you got?

James Horner

Hans Zimmer

This is a tricky one for me. Hans is the GOAT but Bravehart and Titanic alone are two of GOAT-tier scores.

I think Horner was better at creating a sense of adventure. Scores like Jumanji, Commando, The Perfect Storm, Apollo 13, Casper and Field of Dreams all create this heartfelt, warm, sense of wonder that makes the movie that much better.

He never did anything on the scale that Hans does though. Hans' scores feel big and epic. I don't think James Horner could have done a live arena tour the way Zimmer does. Hans for a big budget epic movie, James for a B movie adventure flick

@Takes Two To Tango

What do you do with all this random media data that you collect ?

Nothing, just my own personal satisfaction. : - )

And it's data that's out on the online public for anyone to see. If whoever wants to, they can do their analytical study of the data. lol

I was just teasing you . I figured this stuff was just a hobby but I was curious if you had some kind of personal project about what movies people like best and if all these polls helpled you or something like that.

I don't know what happened when I tried to post in your thread a second ago it was looking like when you post on someone's wall and I was confused on if I was actually posting at all.

James for emotion

Hans for action
As a huge Zimmer fan, I could go with that.

On paper, Field of Dreams is absoutle nonsensical movie. I have no idea how it was even greenlit. Yet it's the only movie that can hit me right in the feels every single time and a huge part of it's charm is Horner's score, along with Costner's charisma

I would go with Hans but can't stand the way he's over used in the Nolan films. Just constant fucking soundtrack running through the whole film nonstop. Instellar is probably his best work though. It's no Morricone but it's solid.

I think the parody takes on Zimmer ruined him for me, I find him naff AF

He also never did anything with as much #Swag as this. Easy choice
