It's October... Halloween/Horror Movies

Fuck me Halloween 5 is a tough one...

That kid must have been given acting tips on how to play mute 'just act like a fucking retard that can't talk, and while you're at it, if your little gay boy friend can speak like a retard when he's translating for you, that'd be great'

Still haven't finished it

Hey guys. I just started Cape Fear. Never seen it before in my life. Am I in for a treat?

let me know what you think, I've never been able to get into it and I'm a huge Juliette Lewis/De Niro/Nolte fan

Just never grabbed like the original did

Scared Stiff is a dumb movie, but it's still fun. Like you said, similar to Pumpkinhead and Rawhead Rex (if you want an Irish take on it)

Aussie horror is low key awesome at times, Next Of Kin I haven't watched in a long time, but it had a Blu Ray release recently so I will get the chance to watch it in HD soon.
Razorback is funny too, I love creature features and this little hairy pig fucker i awesome!

For more Aussie horror/Ozploitatio try
Road Games - Not strictly Aussie but it still is, Stacy Keach does a dodgy accent and Jamie Lee Curtis is also in it. It's not strictly horror, more an oddball road movie/serial killer thriller/voyeur horror.
But I love it, one of my favorites, and has some great Australian scenery.
Turkey Shoot & Fair Game are good 80's Ozploitation/horror
Long Weekend is very, very good, 1978 I think
Dead End Drive-In I think is Aussie

if you want to watch something semi-shit but one I really enjoy (and if you can find it), Out Of The Body from 1989 is a nice movie, reminds me of Retribution a little.
It's not great, but then I do like some shit movies

definitely going to seek out Out of the Body. i fucking love Retribution. one of those movies that i went in w/ zero expectations & left feeling as though i stumbled upon a little gem. i remember looking for a bluray online right after watching it, but couldn’t find one that wasn’t way overpriced.

in other news, about to throw on Lisa and the Devil. signed up for a Fandor subscription just to watch A Bay of Blood last weekend & figured i might as well make the most out of the one month i already paid for.

I was in the mood for something different tonight ( actually last night now ) so I gave a Nicolas Cage action picture called KILL CHAIN a chance & it was an OK waste of time. Nothing great but not the train wreck that a lot of his films are these days. I was mostly lured into watching it because it was on Amazon Prime in 4K UHD & it looked pretty. LOL.
After that, I switched over to Netflix & watched the new Ramsay Campbell adaption THE INFLUENCE which was pretty good. It had some creepy moments & good horror set-pieces throughout. Good stuff.
gawd Kill Chain was boring & Nicolas never really let it rip to juice up an otherwise forgettable straight-to-VOD paycheck. granted it wasn’t as useless a piece of shit as Running with the Devil.

just give me Color Out of Space & Primal already.

Yes! Those are the two of his latest that I'm interested in seeing as well. I've read some really interesting reviews for COLOR OUT OF SPACE. I've been a big fan of that particular story ever since seeing DIE MONSTER DIE! when I was a little kid. Then when I was a bit older I read Lovecraft's story & became an even bigger fan of it so I can't wait to see the newest take on it.
And PRIMAL just sounds like good cheesy fun.
As for KILL CHAIN, yeah it was far from exciting. Like I said, it was just a time-waster.
You have, of course, seen MANDY, right? God, I'm obsessed with that movie. LOL. I've watched it six or seven times in the past eleven months.
And what about MOM AND DAD? Have you seen it? I've heard good things about it but haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

Friday the 13th remake?
No idea. Too busy appreciating the perfect naked boobies and butt crack and I know there was some scary retard at the end of the sex scene, so must be Halloween related. That actress needs more nude scene gigs.

the fuck is your problem? you a dick in general or you having a bad day?

there's nothing edgy about me enjoying shit horror movies, it's just my thing, I love the Shining & Fright Night too, but I wish I didn't so I don't have to have anything in common with you

Take your negative, bullshit opinions back to the OT where you and your friends can all call each other :eek::eek:s over and over, you pompous cunt
Don't worry that guy's always terrible

1. Halloween
2. Trick R Treat
3. Hocus Pocus
4. The Thing
5. Halloween 3

i wore out my Mandy blu to the point that it completely disintegrated into the ether. no but seriously, i always had it on hand to force onto my friends that hadn’t seen it & misplaced it in the process. a return to form for Nicolas.

Mom and Dad was alright. could’ve used a little more Nicolas seasoning for my taste because he made the most of every opportunity to lose his shit, but that’s probably just me. also thought the breakbeat style score felt out of place. still def worth watching, i just expected a little bit more from the second Brian Taylor/Nicolas collaboration

Not necessarily as scary but very atmospheric indeed.

<mma4>

I'm nit a horror buff, so I didn't expect to have seen all 5 mivies when I clicked on the thread. But I did see all those and really liked them, except I tought The Wolfman was a bit meh. Which was disappointing to me given the names in it.

Halloween
Halloween II
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
American Werewolf in London
Night of the Living Dead

My go to is Children of the corn. I’m sure it’s not a popular choice but imo it’s a classic and has some solid acting. And Linda Hamilton. And scary ass Malakai.

Wrong Turn 1 and 2
Hills have eyes
Chainsaw massacre(70s version)
The one with the pinhead looking MFer

100%. Dead Alive gets overlooked a lot but it is an absolute classic horror movie in the vein of Evil Dead 2. I mean, the film company saw that and decided to give Jackson the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

This year I'm going to double feature Halloween (1978) and Halloween (2008) to see how they stack up together.

Pre-Halloween, it's all about marathoning the Universal Monster and Hammer Horror movies.

This is as Halloween as it gets
Watched this one when I was like 13. It was actually way scarier than I expected:

This one is supercharged 80's nostalgia:
