Movies Welcome to Fright Night: the annual Sherdog Horror Movie Festival.

I had no issue with the premise of teens making dumb decisions and thinking short term activities were fun without thinking about the long term damage, no.

Fair point. One can look at demonic possession as a metaphor for drug and alcohol abuse in this case.

Long term damage? Friends were literally turning into demons in front of them and they were laughing their asses off. It played out like an unintended satire.

It still has to work on the surface level regardless of any metaphors in the background. Was the character behaviour appropriate etc. It works as a parody or satire but the movie played it straight and serious overall.

You had no issue with the premise of teens possessing each other and turning them into demons as a funny party trick being super dumb? Friends turning into demons infront of you should not be hilarious. It should be terrifying. Dumb movie.

I would have if it just stayed that. Then it would have been a cliche of teen horror.

10/20 Movie:

Scream and Scream Again

An odd little movie; a mashup of conspiracy/spy thriller, horror and science fiction. Notable for having the Big Three - Vincent Price, Pete Cushing and Christopher Lee - in the same film. Although Cushing's role is little more than an extended cameo.

6/10

10/20: Rumpelstiltskin (1995)

"The wish of a young widow to see her police officer husband, killed on the line of duty, frees a demonic creature who wants to claim the soul of her baby."

I don't know what everyone who rated this so low were expecting. This is solid, fun horror movie of its time.

6.2/10
