An easy 3-2 for Islam.

Not difficult to score for the judges.

One of the judges had it 4-1 to Islam. Gave him the third round too. Controversial.

Maybe. Maybe not. Islam looked at the clock and cruised. He knew he won. They both did. Look at Volkswagen body language.
 
When islam really wanted the takedon like in the first and in the fourth i think, he was fucking fast and got it.. Why the fuck you dont keep on with the wrestling ? Volk is quicker and have better hands..
I dont know i thought maybe islam had better wrestlling or the LW division wrestlers fucking sucks

Anyone, after this, does think islam is going to have a long reign ? We already see he will never be as dominant as khabib, that guy gnp and wreslting was out of this world.

Yeah I don't get how so many fight fans are ignoring that Islam won the striking battle in most rounds. And this is coming from a guy who thought he needed more experience before fighting Charles, plus I really like and respect Volk.

Islam won, relatively clearly. Volk did an incredible job and laid out the blueprint for beating Islam, though I'm not sure any of the top LW's have the discipline and fight IQ to carry that out any time soon.
 
I had Volk winning, but I'm okay with the decision other than the one judge. Volk's stock definitely didn't go down.
 
The end of the 5th won Volk that fight.Islam looked done. UFCs judging needs to put more emphasis on how the fight ends
 
Islam won, and I can’t believe people question it, did volk do amazing? Yeah! he did above what I expected and if the fight was longer would’ve have pulled it off, but the fight isn’t longer so kind of a bad game plan.
It hard to say he should push harder at the beginning because Islam is fresh too and can capitalize better.
that being said volk is the better fighter and Islam looked like jones after the Gus fight.

I agree Islam won but TDs dont give points anymore. Islam was always attacking the sub though.
 
The look on Islam's face towards the end of round 5 was priceless. It was one of terror. He wanted out. Volk is an absolute boss.

But I've always hated how the UFC favors wrestlers with all the stalling that they consider control time.

I much rather see fighters active like Yair was
