Islam Makhachev better than Khabib?

Didn't lose, but also didn't take any risks or fight the best in his division.
Come on, he fought the next man up and beat the best LWs of his generation.

Besides Tony, who was "the best of his division" that he could have realistically fought but didn't?

Ares just added Khabib to the list of things he hates. Which is everything, except wmma, Ian garry, and Paddy Pimbletch

..and that's ok. We accept Ares as he is. A mighty Sherbro.

Except that he didn't do either of those things.
That is exactly the kind of revisionist history that I'm talking about.

Do Bronx for one.

Khabib should never be compared to Islam.

Islam isn't scared to move up

Conor was available, in fact Dana would have booked it 5 times in a row, what did Khabib do? Take on Dustin and Gaethje.

He beat prime RDA, a ranked Barboza, Johnson, Conor just two years removed from a Double Champ win, Dustin, Gaethje, and was willing to accept any opponent including Max or Pettis or whoever when the fight with Tony for the belt fell through.

Please, which fighter did he refuse or which undeserving fighter did he let skip the line for a TS?

In what way is this revisionist history?
Do Bronx for one.
During Khabib's title reign, Do Bronx was fighting David Teymur, Jared Gordon, and Nik Lentz.

By the time Khabib retired, Charles best win was #8 Kevin Lee while Charles was ranked #13. This was at the start of the Pandemic.

Khabib then retired a few months later in October. Even with the Lee win, Do Bronx wasn't even in line for a TS. Chandler was..

He fought the best of his division, unfortunately Charles was a bit too late and couldn't get there before Khabib retired.

TLDR

This is just hypothetical, but Khabib would have embarrassed Charles at his best.

If by better you mean he pays his taxes and doesn’t have to bail out to another country, then yeah I guess he is better.

Thats why he was so confident Islam could get it, cos he's like 3 islams put together and knew he would easily beat Olives.

Wow, how disrespectful of Makhachev. You know fighter bashing is against the forum rules, right?

Islam would never say his mentor is better than him. That isn’t the end of the argument I mean come on… he’s being respectful…

With that said there’s no easy answer. But if Islam strings together a 10 fight title defense the conversation has to be had

Their trainer says this as well, genius.
