Round 2 Bassil got some top time, but did nothing with it and got tuned up on the feet.

It's the fight IQ, not technical ability that I am questioning. Jumping Guillotine in the second round, after doing it three times in the first and losing position every time. Then he was clinching and went to the ground in the third man.

Just really bad fight IQ, especially in round two and round three.
He's only 26 though and can improve from this so I wouldn't say he doesn't have hype anymore since he's still pretty darn good, but there's definitely holes in his game.

Overall he just made the fight way harder then it needed to be.

maybe, Brady did well against Jake Matthews who has a similar frame to JDM. But again Belal is neither longer nor more athletic than brady but I guess he is a dog as well.

Wow someone who actually knows damage is the #1 judging criteria. I hate having DC in commentary because he is always saying stupid shit about takedowns winning guys a round after they get battered on the feet and do nothing with them. He’s such a wrestling homer he cannot be objective.

As a yellow belt on Sherdog, I feel I am more than qualified to speak on JDMs performance tonight and feel I am one of the few that can help him improve.

Performance: Ass. I feel it was a bad performance due to the back to back weight cuts and his opponent having the biggest balls in the world.
