Is Chandler the most privileged fighter in UFC history?

Number one contender fight (at least for him) against Dustin. Loses. Sits out for a few years.
Number one contender fight with Charles (for him at least). Loses. Last win was over Tony Ferguson, bdw.
Number one contender fight against Arman, when he should be fighting to remain in the top 10.

I get Jones and Conor but Jones is a GOAT and Conor was a massive star. What about Chandler? I don't get it. I doubt he has creative control in his contract. He is a decent draw but nothing amazing. He is exciting but that doesn't warrant this level of privilege.
If this happens, it is only going to fuel his annoying toxic positivity even more.
I think it comes from his signing. Chandler got the largest entry level contract in UFC history. More than veteran stars like Tony, Dustin and Justin were making per fight.
So The UFC can't justify his salary vs Dawson or some fringe guy on a FN. They have to pretend he's a PPV comain guy.

Frankie Edgar and it’s not even close, back to back instant rematches at LW and losing then moving down to FW and getting an instant title shot coming off 2 losses. He had a lot of title shots that should’ve gone to other fighters and he held up the LW division for A few years.

No. Cyril Gane is.
At least Gane is in a weak division that is thin on talent. Colby had 4 title shots in a deep WW division and never beat anyone younger than 30 since Max Griffin. Also the only guy younger than him. It really has to be Colby.

Not even close lol. He fought Gray twice in 2011 and Bendo twice in 2012. That's it.

I'm guessing thats part of it, the UFC are cheap and only want to pay him when its a big fight.

Honestly though I thin you could definitely argue he is a "co main" kind of draw, not a household name but he has a rep for exciting competitive fights people like to watch.

He’s the reason why instant rematches became so popular, prior to that losers would’ve fought 1 fight before getting another won, now fighters are coming off brutal one sided beat downs and KO’s and still getting instant rematches. It all started with Edgar.

No that goes to BJ Penn. Not like Frankie said he wanted to have his first defense be a rematch but he fought him again and beat him again. Easier than the first time.

He had a chance and he refused to step up. Any way you slice it your stance Colby is hard done by is patently false. He has earned 1 title fight and yet has had 4. Got destroyed in all of them aside from the RDA fight. He should have dropped to LW. His only success has been against well past prime WWs or former LWs like Masvidal & RDA.

Based on what he brings he has gotten far more then his talents deserve.
You very irrational and emotional about the topic I can see. Cobly clearly hurt you at some point

It's absolutely Jon Jones. They cancelled a show because he wouldn't fight, ignored multiple felonies, moved an entire event across states on short notice because he failed multiple piss tests, and then they dropped everything to force a policy change on detection of picograms to allow him to continue fighting while dirty. They seriously pushed to overturn his lone loss to Matt Hamill retroactively even though he broke the rules that were in place at the time of the fight.
And they did all of that while letting him actively duck Rumble.

Colby got an Interim title fight off of 1 ranked win in Maia.
Usman got his first title fight off of 2 ranked wins in Maia and RDA.
2 > 1 so Usman most certainly did more.

You are off on your timeline. Woodley ducked Colby so he had to fight for an Interim? When did that happen? Colby ducked Tyron. Refused the fight with him hence he got stripped.

He got a fight with Usman that was deserved. He got his ass handed to him and his jaw broken. Got a rematch which was most certainly not deserved. He got his 4th shot at the title against Leon despite 1 win over Journey Man Jorge. Every good fighter he even fought was well past prime age wise.

4 Title fights and only 1 earned. Making silly bold claims with conviction like your boy Colby doesn't change the facts.
You’re arguing with a guy who tried saying that the UFC orchestrated Arman pulling out a few weeks back just so Islam would have an easier fight to break the LW title defence record. You’re just wasting your time.

How long have you been watching MMA?

Do you know who Sam Alvey is?

Not emotional at all. He simply got title shots that he didn't earn and we as fans missed out on some better fights. I liked the way he fought in the first Usman fight. If he just fought like that with some urgency he wouldn't have had to adopt a MAGA schtick to survive.

Sad that both he and apparently you have to adopt fake personas to get by in life. I am far to old and set in my ways to be emotional and upset by it. There is not reality to your take Colby is hard done by. Sticking to that shows you aren't able to discuss rationally and have to resort to trying to make things emotional when you have no leg to stand on logically.

What back to back instant rematches was Frankie granted?
He beat BJ Penn and GAVE him an instant rematch. That's not on Frankie.
He had a DRAW with Gray Maynard so again he GAVE Gray a rematch.
He was literally given 1 rematch against Benson Henderson.

His FW title shot against Aldo he was the former UFC LW champion who many argue won the 2nd fight with Benson and should have still been the LW champion getting a shot at Aldo when who was getting screwed out of a title shot? FW was pretty close to cleaned out by Aldo at that point.
You are clearly deluded on this issue.

No it’s gotta be the dagestanis

They get to all be in the same weight class and hold top 10 spots in the division while avoiding fighting eachother, meanwhile anyone else who wants a title shot has to fight any or all of them while one camp keeps a stranglehold on the belt

Meanwhile at any other weight class if your name is Nurmagomedov or any variation of Magomedov you get fast tracked to title shots…especially if you are from that camp…which its terrible because Umar is the most fun to watch out of all of them and of course he’s the only one to lose a title shot.

They do win though so they earn their spots I just think they match up well with their opponents almost no matter what style…so it’s even more apparent when fighters from their camp hold up divisions (Could you imagine if we could have somehow got Khabib vs Islam?) It is a shame we missed that opportunity

Also a lot of their title fights fall through and they seem to end up fighting replacement matchups almost half of the time.

I can hear the pain in the words through your key board you say irrational not true things about Colby in your assessment telling me off the hop your emotions are not in check. To give you a direct example

"He has earned 1 title fight and yet has had 4. Got destroyed in all of them aside from the RDA fight."

Bro are you hearing yourself??? So you're saying Colby got "destroyed" in Colby Vs Usman 2?

You sound heavily biased to me. There are lots of reasonable things about Colby to be critiqued, like him fighting older guys (like Usman did too) his rank squatting and cherry picking stick to that. Because I never argued Colby was hard done in, only that before his first title fight he got fucked over Colby beat rda and Maia both before Usman did. So again you just putting words in my mouth, because anything about Colby that credits him must be met with retaliation of some sort. Even though I'm on here discrediting Colby ALL THE TIME

Yeah Colby got destroyed in the 2nd Usman fight. Made it to the bell the 2nd time but Usman looked like he just finished a sparring session while Colby was visibly beat up. Colby was touching Usman and Usman was Landing Hard. Look at his face.

You are claiming Colby was hard done by and yet he has 4 title fights to his name. His resume doesn't warrant that so your claim is idiotic. Your claim he got fucked over is stupid. He could have fought Woodley for the title and he screwed himself out of that opportunity. He was lucky that he got a fight with Robbie and then got to his title fight with Usman. He got that with 3 ranked wins. Not seeing how 3 ranked wins and then getting a title shot is him getting fucked over.

Ok dude I've never claimed that once which is my point cobly makes you so emotional you cannot read and interpret things correctly because you are clearly highly defensive about the topic I will leave you alone now
