Is Chandler the most privileged fighter in UFC history?

Ok dude I've never claimed that once which is my point cobly makes you so emotional you cannot read and interpret things correctly because you are clearly highly defensive about the topic I will leave you alone now
OK thanks for leaving me alone now. I appreciate it.

At least Gane is in a weak division that is thin on talent. Colby had 4 title shots in a deep WW division and never beat anyone younger than 30 since Max Griffin. Also the only guy younger than him. It really has to be Colby.
Colby has only had 3 title shots and to earn 2 of those shots he at least beat Lawler and Woodley who were former champs. Where as Cyril Gane beat Derick Lewis and Tai Tuivasa for title shots and has not fought anyone within the current top 5 aside from Volkov despite being in the top 5 for years at this point and is likely going to get another TS with his robbery decision win over Volkov after Tom vs Jon is made or Jon is stripped and Tom is promoted. Colby is privileged but Cyril is another beast entirely.

He had a lot of privilege from being an established Bellator star that also went to Eddie Alvarez. The thing with Chandler is everyone feels sorry for him after watching him get publically humilated by a clown for years. We all know Chandler could kick Conors ass and yet our society has the former begging the latter for a fight and I think that makes people very uncomfortable.

Colby had 4 since the RDA fight was for a title, Interim but still a title. That wasn't deserved. He literally had 1 top 10 win. He deserved the Usman fight but then got a rematch beating the ghost of Woodley whom he earlier ducked and got himself stripped of his Interim belt. His rematch with Usman after not evolving in the slightest and having been badly destroyed was unwarranted. His shot at Leon was again laughable.

Gane is priveleged for sure but who else is there at HW? Tuivasa and Lewis are both ranked guys at the time. His win over Volkov was BS but seriously who is getting screwed out of a title shot at HW? There isn't anyone.

WW was much deeper and Colby got shot after shot.

What gives Gane the edge to me is the fact that he is so protected where as Colby isn't. I mean they fed him to Buckley for crying out loud where as the UFC is trying their hardest to keep Gane away from Blaydes and Almeida and keep him a contender until they can make Gane vs Tom..

My guess is he's getting some payback for waiting on conman for two years. Plus he's a company man and always puts on exciting fights (albeit not winning many)

Yeah HW is so thin that the UFC can't afford to have Blaydes knock off Gane since he is one of the only HWs Tom hasn't already run thru. They did put him in there with Volkov which was a risk and he should have lost IMO.

The top 5 contenders at HW has
Gane last 3: loss to Jones, win vs Spivak, win vs Volkov
Volkov last 5: since losing to Tom he had a 4 fight streak ended by loss to Gane so should be a 5 fight streak against Rozenstruik, Romanov, Tuiavasa, Pav, L vs Gane.
Pav last 3: beat Rozenstruik, lost to Volkov, lost to Tom
Blaydes last 3: lost last fight to Aspinal, beat Almedia, lost to Pav
Almeida last 3: 2 fight win streak last loss to Blaydes

If they get Jon vs Aspinall done or they move on Tom will need at least a couple of contenders to run through. Can't afford for Gane to be knocked off and Gane to knock off Almeida. They are the 2 most reasonable challengers agaisnt Tom. Volkov with his win streak can be sold with a win and then the idea he was robbed but his loss to Tom was so definitive it is hard.

HW has no other up and coming talents. Maybe an Alex Pereira fight but that is silly IMO.

Colby opted to get nasal surgery instead of fighting Woodley, which is why Till got the TS instead. Sure it would have been a quick turn around but you don’t get to call the shots as an interim champ, which we all know is just a glorified #1 contender. He hasn’t beat someone coming off a win in almost seven years but has received three TS then. Anyone trying to argue that he was treated unfairly by the UFC is clearly dumb and extremely biased.
