Infinite Intensity - Tactical Barbell 50 Day

Day 1 of week 3....heavy strength week

Squats 210
Bench 175
Weighted Pull-ups 30lbs
90% of 1 rep maximums 3 x 3

Went reasonably well....one thing that really stood out is how easy the weighted pull-ups went today...I was struggling with a lighter weight during week one but this session felt way easier...could've repped out a couple more easy but stuck with the program. Was tempted to go 5/3/1 style and push through...oh well.

Oh and this beta alanine made me feel like shit...nauseous for almost half an hour
 
Looking good man. BA is the shit. You'll probably like it better than the citrulline. Give it a week or two to kick in though.

Week 3 Day 2......GPP

Completed GPP session #3 from Infinite Intensity....LOTS of burpees.
 
Warrior Workout.....

Had to modify this slightly for the equipment I had available.

10 min block.....kettlebell snatches/burpees
10 min block.....pull ups
5 min block...heavy bag work

Probably my favorite Ross workout right here...like the density concept.

Love the looks I get int he gym when I load my pack up with plates and start doing pull-ups....the gym I weight train at is let's say "less than hardcore"....I'm also pretty sure the staff members think I'm stealing weights to take home when I put 'em in my pack lol.

Looking back at week 1....HUGE difference between pull-ups today and then. I struggled with this weight in wk1. I tested my max at 35lbs x 1. I am positive I could've multiple repped that today.. I will stick with the program rules though. Now I am in a good mood.

June 25.......Week 4 D2...GPP&Core:
This one's actually my favorite Ross GPP workout. I throw it in for conditioning days even when I'm not following the 50 day plan.

100 rope turns
10 burpees
10 push-ups
10 bodyweight squats



June 26.....Week 4 D3 Sweet 16/Tabata
Did this yesterday....this one kicks my ass all time. Some day I'll replace the push-ups with burpees...but not right now.


Wk 4 D4 Today - Interval&Core
Have to head out later today to do the 100m/50m track workout...
 
Hit the track yesterday did some 100/50 meter sprints a la Ross. Didn't do the core stuff.

Today:

10 pull-ups
10 db swings (I substitute kettlebells here....far less awkward than dbs)
10 plyo pushups
10 knee tucks
 
Day 4.....Track/core:

20 x 50...love the short sprints. Did the core stuff today too...I am guilty of skipping the core portion of II once in a while.

Another one of my favorites from II...the pullup / plyo pushup combo's pretty powerful.
 
Did intervals on the 8th at the track...and actually did the core work this time too!
