I'm worried for our boy Mike Perry...

Maybe Mike will realize the best move is to swing for the fences and make it an entertaining brawl. If he catches that chin, he can get himself a second fight.

Wild to me how you can be a pro fighter in 2024 and still lack the basics.
Basic head movement.
Just rely purely on toughness and power, and trying to brawl it out.

There are plenty of them out there.

20 years of training & fighting and that's your approach? That's wild bro...

Speaking of Jake Paul, he's been begging for a MMA fight.. He wanted one with Diaz and he wanted one with Perry after the boxing match.

I think Jake beats Perry in MMA too

And nobody is accepting his challenge to fight MMA

Established UFC or former UFC fighters losing to Jake Paul would hurt the brand of MMA long term. Just take the boxing check and keep it moving

Paul brothers have exposed TKO holdings UFC and WWE

Woodley standing their just straight up, finish me quickly haha. Never watched any of those fights but that is funny.

I'm not worried for Perry at all, the dude is a savage. If this was bare knuckle Paul would be in for deep shit. I only give Paul a chance because they will be wearing gloves. Either way it's good to see Perry a guy who has obviously struggled in his life putting the pieces together and making some good money.

He's a tough dude, but after watching his BKFC fights, he arguably lost to MVP and Lane. He comes straight forward, chin up, little head movement, and relies on toughness.

Will losing to Jake Paul diminish his reputation? I can see him getting knocked out by Paul.

I'm nervous.
People forget that its been more than 6 years that jake is training boxing full time while having fights, mma fighters have horrible boxing habits that they cant unlearn

Poor Mike, making at least 600k fighting

Perry was born to fight. I'd be worried and concerned for him if he had to work 10 hours in an office, not fighting

Well I dont think he will get beat worse than any other fight he'd be in but the gloves and more rounds and so on probably favors Jake Paul.

I hope im wrong though!

WAR PLATS

Old and smaller Alvarez who aint even a real boxer was piecing up Perry pretty bad in the early going.

Who has Jake challenged to fight MMA?

Seriously WTF

Ill bet a mortgage Perry is going to throttle Paul

Id b WAY more nervous for Paul
If that's the case

You don't know much about boxing

Or you're allowing your hate of Jake Paul blind you.

This isn't even gonna be close. Perry has that dog in him, he could get some shots in, but overall, Jake has him beat in every other area.

He was the backup fighter for Logan / Danis

I would've also taken Logan to beat him.

I thought Perry was going to be undersized in this fight, but after seeing him in the face off I think he is on par if not bigger, from a muscular standpoint. He isn’t the most technical but he has that dog in him that many others don’t. If the fight isn’t fixed I can see Perry pulling away in the later rounds. I guess we will see.

Jake already beat Mike up in sparring so this fight is extra sad. People just have to hope Mike can somehow not make it a boxing fight and get in there and make it absolutely nasty

We'll see I know mike perry and ive slighted him before a fight and it never works out His only career KO was at the hands of Geoff Neal and Perry was in that one til the bitter end. Lost to a headkick btw

Mike has a bigger dog in him than Paul and he has the balls to even take this fight. Paul would never take this fight if the roles reversed

Hes meaner tougher and has better hands imo Paul will wilt and in a straight hands fight, I have Perry all day

Ill remember to visit you rain or shine

Boxing isn't MMA. That's the thing.

There's levels to it and a massive gap between even amateur / low level pros and most MMA fighters.

Perry has that dog in him, but Jake is better technically, defensively, better fight IQ, more versatile, probably more raw power as well. And from what I've seen, Jake is a fighter as well.

Not someone who's afraid to get hit or any of that, he's got the spirit of a fighter.

Overall, people just underestimate him because his name is Jake Paul, so very few actually bother to analyze his boxing objectively. The kid has more potential than most people realize.

Even tank said he was decent. Very few if any fighters are talking shit, only the fans really.

There's just levels to it. Jake got the better of him years ago in sparring and he's only gotten better.

Barring a freak, hail Mary knockout, I think Jake makes it look very easy.

Logan would've been a bit more interesting competitively, but I would've taken Logan too. Perry just isn't a great boxer and his poor habits technically and defensively are just going to be very easy to take advantage of.

Pure boxing is a different game. What Perry has faced in bare knuckle simply doesn't compare to someone who's trained as a pure boxer on even a lower level of the sport.

It's apples and oranges.

I think he's referring to Nate Diaz supposedly getting stiffed by fanmio, but even then Diaz was still paid a million which at least publicly so far is probably more then what Mike Perry is being paid so he's wrong ha.

Obviously whatever it is Mike Perry is gonna get paid for this fight it will be at least decent.
