Have fully armed judge Dredd type officers posted throughout the more vulnerable areas to do nothing but stay on guard for mass shootings. They are not security guards, they are not police, they do nothing but patrol and stand guard. If a shooting occurs they terminate the target.

They will be like monks, religiously loyal, and will be rewarded with a wealthy pension when done service.

Clearly the problem lies with Democrats having guns. I say that as humor. But it does have some truth to it - especially considering felons are more likely to vote Democrat.

If someone is a dangerous psycho why stop at taking away their gun rights? Take all their rights and lock them away. It's called involuntary commitment.

But that's not what I mean. Liberals are the ones who push the "quality of life" argument. That it just isn't fair for dangerous people to be be put somewhere where they can't hurt a whole bunch of people.

There's nothing to be done about them. People will occasionally go crazy and do crazy things. In a society with as many guns as the U.S., mass shootings will occur every so often no matter what policy you try to enact.

But keep in mind that homicide rates are much lower now than they were ten, twenty, thirty, and forty years ago. And these mass shooting events are aberrations even within the national homicide rate.

I thought this was a cool chart, but I don't endorse every political suggestion it points to.

I deal with people who are just like this shooter on a regular basis at the PD. The truth is there are some people who will never be mentally capable of living in society due to level of mental illness and instability. They need to be institutionalized. Trusting an adult who believes they are not sick to take medication to keep their illness in check is a pipe dream.

When you are expressing violent intents and desires to a therapist you need to go away, plain and simple. Saying put them on a "no buy list" just means they need to kill a family member to get weapons, such as Adam Lanza and his mother in Sandy Hook.

People need to realize that these shootings are statistically so insignificant. Death by firearm is already a very low chance, statistics-wise, and a "mass shooting" is a incredibly small sub category of that. You have to put it into context.

personally i believe only the authorities and military should have firearms. however thats simply never going to happen.
the second point in the constitution should be changed.

youngsters are never going to learn morals or anything like that. that was all in the past and society doesn't go backward, unless muslims are involved in running it.

in saying that, ideal would be for everyone to do some national service. i would of hated it, and would of tried to get out of it.
i used to think this type of thing was stupid and it would never do any good. but as i age i realize that it has a lot to offer.
i believe this works.

the killer in question in the santa barbera killings killed 3 people with a knife prior to killing what... 3 people with a gun? so really, the gun is the issue? If he didn't have a gun, he still would have killed 4 people (he ran over another with his car).

Clearly the individual suicidal psychopaths will find ways to kill people whether or not they have firearms.

If you follow the link you'll see it isn't about funding, but rights for mental patients which is what I thought you were attributing to liberals.

The law gave much broader rights to mental patients including
"To safeguard individual rights through judicial review;" and " in effect ended all hospital commitments by the judiciary system, except in the case of criminal sentencing, e.g., convicted sexual offenders, and those who were "gravely disabled", defined as unable to obtain food, clothing, or housing"
