I never claimed to be a staunch defender, there are all kinds of problems with law enforcement and most people acknowledge that reform is necessary. I do however respect that it's a difficult job and speak out against those who make it more dangerous.

I was at a mass shooting here in Montreal. For a time there were fears there was a second shooter, and when they moved us to safety police officers formed a corridor with their bodies to keep us safe. You don't ever forget something like that.

I will continue to call you out on issues like your position on Trump and his quest to control the Fed.

Anyone with an IQ north of 60 knows the Fed is independent by design and Trump's actions are both insane and potentially catastrophic. If he continues to nominate candidates who are completely loyal to him but incompetent as he's done this term, it will be a disaster if he does this with the Fed.
