No im refuting it because you're argument is illogical.

Training does not lessen the after effects of being in combat vs an enemy that is hoping to end your life by any or all means.

Absolutely false. Training is what gives you the skills to cope with the effects of combat and regulate under pressure. Your claim that training and preparedness has no effect on how stressful a situation can be is insane.

Not training for something like keeping the peace at home vs fellow citizens who are throwing rocks and fireworks at you, while OBVIOUSLY not the same, one scenario seemingly offers a lesser stress than the correct framing I posted above.

Being thrown into a potentionally violent scenario with no training where you may need to hurt or even use lethal force against US citizens while also risking life altering punishment under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. That is the correct framing of this situation and it is extremely stressful.

But im sure from an outsider perspective of someone who didn't even know the difference between a Marine and a soldier knows much better than people who are the middle of this situation.

We are not peace keepers. We are war fighters. We are not equipped for this situation. That's the PDand NG's territory
