Social ICE/deportation protests and riots megathread

Just heard the Walton family (WalMart) is funding several millions towards this specific protest.

Do you understand that a lot of what you are doing is in support of oligarchs?

Or can you debunk?

Eager to see your replies in good faith.

This was my point. You disagreed? No?

Do you agree with my claim that heated ground warfare away from home would be considered MORE stressful than what you are describing below?<RIP>

I agree, however there are levels to stress. Armed forces who face combat come home with shell shock, PTSD, etc. etc. Would you make the claim that keeping the peace is going to affect them in the same way?

Sounds good, I'm pumped up now!
I cannot speak to how each Marine is affected by this. Just like in combat, some people cope better than others. Many will probably be fine. Many will be stressed but manage. Others may take it worse. I cant say for sure. I'm sure a Marine from that area with family there will be much worse off than say myself who has no positive connection to LA. What I can say is that a common sentiment that I'm hearing is that service members are uneasy about this.

The two types/levels of stress being the same or different is completely irrelevant to what I was saying. The point is that this is a no bueno situation for all parties involved and can risk serious harm to service members and the military as a whole

Lol. 'They can go overseas and murder an entire village of peaceful farmers but putting down a riot might give them PTSD.'

You actually typed that.

It's jump up on your soapbox time, eh 44Nutjob?

I'll ask the question. Do you consider JB Pritzker / Thomas Pritzker / Pritzker family to be oligarchs?
Like Bush and Trump, he is from a family of Oligarchs. Multi-generational wealth, born on 3rd base.
6 of his family members(including him) are in the top 100 richest people in the world. His family started the Hyatt Hotel chains.
So yeah, Oligarchs.

Good to know.

So far, not seeing how my statement isn't true beyond the semantics argument you made
Its not true because you're comparing two completely different things.

We are trained to go to foreign countries, close with, and destroy our enemies. It is within the parameters of our training, ethos, and mindset. We have no training on dealing with civil unrest and aiding in arrest or non lethal crowd control. That's why we have the NG.

1) Going into a hostile situation you've trained for against a common enemy

2) Going into a hostile situation you've never trained for vs fellow citizens

Can't compare the two

Very loose use of the term. At best, fellow citizens who despise you and the country you defend.

Do you need me to explain to you that the idea of killing your own kind is a lot more horrific than killing some barbarians in a far off land to a lot of people or what?

Just think of it like shooting up a bunch of black people speaking in ebonics from da hood vs shooting at nice white families from your small town that go to your church if it helps you understand the man's point.

What suprsises me is how easily people easily give up their Constitutional Rights, to a guy, who naps in public, has blood thinner bruises on his hands, falls on stairs, and wears a catheter because he pisses himself due to onset dementia. What a time to be alive.

I mean, these people he's having this conversation with are just dishonest. They're not trying to understand the point.

I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution. Not just for people who agree with me. Not just for people who agree with the president. For every single person on US soil. How they feel about me, the president, or the country is irrelevant. My oath applies to everyone.

I don't like most of yall on here but id fight for your rights all the same. You are my fellow citizens
