maybe. i like to think most human beings are cool and can see past a lot of their disagreements to find things they DO agree on. that said, has this country ever taken in 5 million immigrants in a day? or whatever the equivalent of that would be on a national scale? or is it more like over 30-50 years?

I put out way too high of a number trying to make my point. But it's that integration is naturally slow. You can't just drop large numbers of people in an area and not expect any problems to occur. If the immigration is spread out kind of equally, but not large enough numbers to start very fast drastically changing things, it can work. People are naturally objective to change, and hostilities can easily arise.

Deporting illegal violent criminals is fine. We spend more money on trying to deport illegals on expired visas than it would cost to give them avenues to obtain legal paperwork. a lot of these people are tax payers and are a net positive on our economy. We would be much better off in offering legal avenues for them to take, rather than hunting them down and deporting them.

The amount of Government fraud from trailer park trash and ghettos is insane, and would instantly help the economy, neighborhoods, and citizens. There are tons of people currently abusing Government benefits, some I'm sure even posting in this very topic, basically stealing money from taxpayers. Why not focus on correcting this fraud and getting rid of VIOLENT illegals?

The Government could kill two birds with one stone if they went this avenue, and get support from both Democrats and Republicans.

i agree with all of that. that's what people are proposing. the kind of rapid change you're making hypotheticals about isn't happening. and most of our immigrants come from other patriarchal christian nations like russia, mexico and central american nations. they hold all of our core values.
