Sat session
4 rounds shadow boxing and all th usual stuff.
Did some rounds sparring at the end. Was doing some foot work and fell when sparring, but other then a ache and slight weakness, the ankle is fine (minor swelling, but ok)

Finished off the session with weighted sit ups and russian twists.

went down to uni and helped with their sparring. Didn't train

26th was no training due to getting up and driving to southampton (left the house to pick people up at 8 am), helping warm guys up, being in their corner, and not getting home till 2:20 am

Tired after weekend, lack of sleep and food, so went and did cardio work. Eliptical machine for 50 min, limited air intake, level 13

Well then I'd get some straps or hooks just for deadlifts so your grip isn't the limiting factor and just make sure to throw in some grip stuff afterwards to try and get your hands to catch up to the rest of your body.
 
Well I'm going to get myself some resin for xmas. so that might help.

My grip itself it ok, its the sweat (5 min run and I'm sweating pretty hard) that makes the hand peel off the bar.


Hooks and straps would take grip out of the equation, hence I don't use them

2nd round- got to finishing squat and maybe 3 into lunge
3rd just finished squat
4th I just got the SLDL done

Forearms were killing by set 3, I had to place it down and reset grip twice in round 3, and loads of times during round 4



I attmpted to do some OH squat......I tried with the OL bar...felt too heavy and unstable
Tried with the 7.5.....felt unstable and couldn't bring myself down. I think I need to get used to locking it out behind me

Was so shattered anyway, did 7-9.20, then went home.

When I asked how many sets he had to do, he said he just started.
Then asked if I was doing front squats or back squats....I was so shocked I was 'mwwaaaaa', nearly shed a tear, then recomposed myself.

Got good depth (as far as the squat rack would allow, although the first reps of 125 and 130 were shallowish) and felt quite strong. Considering I haven't squatted other then last week since I think the end of April this year, and my squat was 145 for a 4 then, its remained quite high

Gave a go at OH squat again based on what one of the trainers (who actually OL) suggested.
By the 4th set of 5, I started to feel quite stable with just the bar (20kg bar), although it started to ping my lower back ever so slightly by the last set (I thing I was trying to over do the depth too fast)

Not that much really, just pads and doing some skill work
Got my right toe dinged quite nicely with a elbow from chris. Its all bruised up now (sunday)

at end of session did some weighted sit ups off the roman chair (sets of 10 with 15kg) and some weighted russian twists (again, built up to a set of 10 with 15, god damn did that hurt)

Went from there to do corner work for 4 of the guys, all first timers.
2 wins, 2 loss, but thats how the cookie crumbles

It was at this point someone was squatting in the smith machine. I said I'm done do you want to use the rack. After I said I'd watch his form, he agreed.
Now what follow for like 10 minutes (and I was feeling shitty and late) was me trying to teach him depth and correct technique (foam thing, too bar up the neck, leaning foward on tip toes, not going deep-'are they meant to be done that depth'- I even explained shearing forces on the knees). In the end, I basically said (after he went back to the smith) that its up to personal prefference and that its ok to use a SM if you want a vagina. His retort was 'do you do upperbody', I said yes, I do OHP and push press. He said 'what about bench' then got all high and mighty because he had a 110 bench (debatable on how good it was, he was like 60kg). I was like 'well why would I would to bench, what real world application is there, unless you want to get a fat bitch off you'. He didn't understand and I just walked off.

Now, I'm fucking sick because everyone has been walking about with a fever etc.

I did a training session last tuesday with a sore throat. Finished it, went home, throat got worse, went to bed,

Woke up with a fever and shivers. Everyones coming down with it at the moment.
