Ian Garry - The Dying Star

You don't understand how to use the word literally, and you're a dogshit poster.
I literally do understand how to use it. I was using it correctly in this case.

You quite literally do not understand what you are watching. You think you do. You do not. Literally.

Your assessment of what happened in that fight has no connection to reality. It's creative writing that you want to pretend is expert analysis.

He was lighting Prates up for three-and-a-half rounds, and landed a number of shots which rocked him. Showed great distance management and strike selection, not his fault he doesn't have amazing power and Prates has a good chin.

He's clearly one of the best fighters in the division, and only 27 to boot.
^^^^^^^^ This guy understood what he was watching

He looked good, just needs to improve his cardio a bit so he doesn't get into any more situations like he did in R4 and 5. I'd say with one or two great performances, he could be in line for a title shot.

He is going down hill and it's because of his fighting style. He's a point fighter that gets hit too much. He needs to improve his defense or learn how to finish.

Been saying it since the Geoff Neal fight he’s a Jack of all trades master of none, he was ceiling’d awhile ago and hasn’t really improved since.

We already saw what wed get out of him at the top of the division in his fight with Shavkat and it’s not much

Fight looked exactly as I thought it would. Garry is simply too skillful on the feet. I honestly don't think there's a single welterweight that can beat him on the feet apart from MVP. Leon should be able to make it a tight fight though.

Of course since it's MMA, a punch connects and you can go out but outside of that it's tough not to give him the edge on the feet vs most guys.

Say what you want about him. Last few min of fight was pathetic a little

BUT what the hell was Prates doing the first 3 rounds or so? He gave away that decision. Now the Fighting Nerds who want to highlight their 19-0 spree without poor Bruna Brasil. Fighting Nerds aren't as perfect are they...

Hes just an un likeable fighter who has embraced the cringe as that's his only selling point. ... Prates fought an incredibly low IQ fight an deserved to lose . In all the early rds he just wouldn't throw anything then when he finally e gaged an got him in trouble he was too tired to finish it.

I just don't think Prates could get reads. Garry was occupying him with the right head kick and then whenever he opened up he was getting tagged until Garry started slowing down a bit.

Ironically I think trying to wrestle was what nearly cost Garry the fight. He was easily beating Prates on the feet until he tired himself out trying to hold him down.

"Star" is highly debatable. Nobody likes him, except the few sherdoggers here who get triggered when they're hit with the facts about Ian BBL.

He was getting beaten up.

No, he was fighting a guy who was significantly better than him.
Makes you wonder why Ian was crawling away from him at the end of the fight. My point is it was too little too late. Where was that Prates in the earlier points of the fight

Because Prates absolutely blasted him with ground and pound after the reversal.

Here's a tip. Paying attention to what is happening in the fight really helps you understand it.

I highly recommend it.

Well maybe he should've reversed him and blasted him with GnP earlier

I wanted Garry to win too but if you want to be petty about it...

Here's a tip: Don't argue about dumb shit and assume what other viewers see. I highly recommend it!
