Ian Garry knocks Shavkat out cold

giphy.gif

Ian showed weakness and cowardice in Every round against MVP.

MMA fans want to see violence in the cage, not fear and avoidance that Ian perpetuates.

Certainly could happen, but not particularly likely. If you want to post a random contrarian take with no analysis behind it you may as well predict Garry by submission. Extremely unlikely, but if it happens the thread bump after the fight could be epic, while if this thread gets bumped after a Garry win by KO no one will care.

Shavkat takes this in a close fight imo

Shavkat actually has two losses to some bum, but for whatever reason the second fight was still considered amateur even though it took place after he went pro!
Solid post, just checked that out myself.

I've been around the amateur scene for 20 years, I've never seen anyone take an amateur fight after already fighting professionally. He had 4 professional fights, then lost to that Russian for the second time in an "amateur" fight.

What would be the reason for this happening?

Just watched the first fight, and another one he was almost fully knocked out in 3 years ago. He had a pretty strange come up for a guy dominating now.

Starts professional career 4-0, then loses another amateur fight?

Fights mvp, a tough fight, wins. Then he accepts the hardest fight in the division. What a coward!
FR, Did you see Any sign of Garry's willingness to fight, to show MVP dominance ?

WE WANT Ian to inspire us with HIS confidence of a champion - so far he has been as weak as we have Ever seen in ANY contender.

Yeah I am not a Ian Garry fan but he gets respect for stepping up and fighting an undefeated guy on short notice.

Shavkat Rakhmonov might lose one day. But it won’t be to a dude who took his wife’s last name.

Like it or not. Hes cuck but Shavkat is most overrated fighter ever. Garry is actually pretty damn good

Imagine if everyone who had an opinion about a fight created a thread. We would have 1000 threads a day.

Ian Garry has some strange things about him but I think he beats Shavkat pretty dominantly and shocks the world tonight.

Bum rushing is not confidence, sticking to your plan and having a high fight iq is confidence

Bold prediction you either will be a king or a jester after tonight.

I've got Garry here by TKO in the later rounds. Not a lock by any means, but this fight is much closer than the betting odds suggest.
This fight has decision written all over it.
If Ian Garry doesn't get finished by Shavkat, then he wins by decision.

I went back and watched Shavkats fights and he's there to get hit. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets caught he stands very tall in the pocket and throws uppercuts from the outside. Ian could catch him with straight punchs or a switch kick from range.

I hope Shavkat drags him into the trenches and makes him fight a dirty/gritty fight on the feet. Also everything's Shavat lands is with purpose and works the body well in close. On the ground, if he can get it there, he pummels Ian. His ability to isolate an arm to land unprotected shots is amazing and the ability to sink in chokes is set up a lot different than most BJJ based subs.

I think someone explained
It was a tournament style event, with different rnd length and rnds for each fight and is quit common in that area of the world
