Ian Garry deserves the title shot over the rest

I definitely want Shavkat to get his much deserved title shot but the thing that concerns me is ring rust. I don't want him to come back and immediately fight the toughest guy in the division right out of the gate after having been off for a year with injury (over a year by the time he fights again). I feel like a warm up would be a smarter choice. Prates is a tough but winnable fight. If he can shrug off the rust and take out Prates (or someone similar) then absolutely set him up with Islam next. But to go straight to Islam is crazy.

An interim title between Morales vs Shavkat is acceptable if Makhachev is going to fight Topuria at the White House.

Fck Ilia. He should defend against Arman the rightful number 1 contender. No debate there in LW who deserves the next shot.

I dont have anymore interest in Islam vs Ilia. No more. Nada. Zero.

Too advantageous for Islam if fight is at 170. Islam Makachev already said he's never going back down 155 so that fight is off.

If Islam wins at 170...people will complain Ilia is too small and then that win will be bogus for nothing. Ilia needs to stay in LW lane .

Also if UFC makes the fight Islam v Morales that would be cool too. But ian garry is more deserving over Morales. Thats all

Volk trains out of a gym in Windang Australia. You think that place is known for stellar grappling? It isn't, and Volk still wasn't a fish out of water with any of the grappling with Islam.

You're forgetting that he'll get singled out for the title shot for the great promo he cut after his win. The UFC needs that for their promos more than they need highlight reels. Highlight reels can be made from anything, especially when you have 11 UFC fights already like Garry does. Mic moments can't.

You can be boring in the cage if you make up for it on the mic.

Maybe, but personally I didn't see anyone feeling the promo he cut. It seems like most people want him in front of a mic less often, not more.
