The weirdness that has become acceptable in MSM has definitely taken me from all over the place to a hard right socially.

Seriously though wtf is going on? Why are these corporate media outlets so perverted now? In 2019 they have moved the marker so damn far. You have Teen Vogue feeding their audience of young girls anal sex how-to guides or pieces on why "sex work is work", you have Good Morning America and other platforms glorifying the "drag kid" stuff and exploiting that poor Desmond kid, and here you have HuffPo letting us know that it's cool to expose kids to sexual fetishes as long as there are rainbows involved.

Desensitizing young kids to nudity and sexuality has long been a grooming technique used by pedophiles. But again and again we see these corporate media outlets who position themselves as the arbiters of morality condoning it as long as it can be considered somehow related to LGBTQ. It honestly seems to me that pedos have infiltrated the LGBTQ movement in a similar fashion to PIE in the UK back in the 70s and 80s. It just seems that they have a lot more corporate support and big money behind them right now.

Does anyone think that this will end well? Should we get used to seeing the words "children" and "kink" together in mainstream culture? Where do you guys think we'll be in say 5 years time? Have your read the Vogue articles. I don't have a problem with the anal sex one. My guess is parent are going to do a piss poor job of covering that with the kids. Most parent do a poor job of having the regular sex discussion with their kids. Honest talk, how many parent do you think have made the effort to install, maintain, and monitor software on the teenagers phones to prevent them from viewing porn? I'd guess almost none. Being outraged by that article, for most parents, is kinda dumb.

Also, sex work is work. I'm not sure how that is not factually obvious.

Those traditions definitely sound bizarre when you lay them out in the way that you have, and even a bit creepy, and every parent would agree that there is a potential for abuse. Which is why parental supervision and involvement is always important of course and proper safeguarding procedures always must be followed. But the key difference is that those holiday traditions aren't inherently sexual in any way. The same obviously can't be said for fetishists in leather with their dick dangling about, or a kid dressed in drag dancing provocatively for money from adults. Which is why the comparison comes off as a total reach and really desperate quite frankly.

I guess though this is why these corporate media outlets push this stuff though, it obviously has a target audience and it works. This is exactly what I meant by the marker being moved. If somebody told you say 5 or 6 years ago that you would resort to ridiculous whataboutery to defend a headline that said "children can handle the kink" from a mainstream outlet or a 10 year old boy in drag dancing for pervert's money, you would have laughed them off and probably called them a conservatard or something. Even today, after almost 2 decades of finally breaking down PTSD, most soldiers do not seek help because the stigma of being "weak" hovers over them because they were taught not to show weakness.

Still to this day, the stigma around mental disorders from the minor like Kleptomania to serious ones like Schizophrenia, bi-polar disorders to depression are all hindering people from seeking help and an attraction to children is a TREATABLE issue because of where it stems from, mental issues almost always from either the person having been sexually abused, or mentally abused as a child themselves.

IMO the LGBTQ community should clean this up.
In the past the parades were meant to be shocking. “We’re here we’re queer get used to it.” But today most people are fully aware that they are here.
