Crime Should LGBT Pride parades be 18+ only?

I don't got gaydar nor I am in tune with gay events. I don't pay attention to Pride days or Canadian holidays. LoL I also stumbled onto Canadian Thanksgiving.. It's like a month before America's.
US thanksgiving is way better, you get 3 football games.

how the fuck can you enforce an age limit on watching a parade? dumbest idea ever.

No, it's not that, they're gonna outlaw being under age 14 when the oride parade comes to town.

No, they're going to pass a law that you must be gay when the parade is in town and force children of all ages to participate in the parade and after-parties.

Not 18 but the age of intercourse in whatever country. Fluid. Its a celebration of sex. And often very visibly sexual.

Other option is to arrest people that are doing open sexual acts in public. But then they will cry homophobia and start rioting and getting all that glitter off of clothing is a bitch.

I love how the first pages of these threads are always filled with conservatives arguments like:

"After spending countless hours watching videos of gay events, I can safely say that there are plenty of dicks....."

That's the whole first page of this thread.

how is that a "conservative argument"?
if liberals were to watch the same clips they would be blind to the dicks or what?

If liberals spent hours on reddit watching pride parade videos, only to complain about pride parades, I'd mock them too.

this doesn't answer my question of how this is a "conservative" thing, noticing dicks in pride clips. and isn't complaining about public indecency the right thing to do, as a citizen? there's literally laws against it. sounds to me like being against gross shit like this is a normal citizen thing to do.

Literally nobody said what you claim, 2 guys said they stumbled into a gay parade unknowingly, according to them. Are you sure it wasn't you watching hours and hours of gay porn?

I live in Los Angeles. We have one of the biggest pride parades in the nation. You wanna know how I manage to avoid watching videos of guys blowing each other? I don't go to reddit and look at pictures of guys blowing each other.

If i did do that, I think it would be fair to wonder if it was really "research."

this isn't about you. it's about public indecency. the fact that you don't watch doesn't mean it doesn't exist. and the argument of "oh you are watching therefore you're curious" is silly manipulation. here, i'll try - but you're not watching because you know you wouldn't be able to contain your feeling of wanting to immediately go and blow dudes. does this sound like a reasonable exchange to you? it's a serious problem of public indecency. one that in this case involved little kids.

Would you agree that a part of these pride parades break the laws, yet nothing is done about it?

I think going out of your way to seek out behavior that bothers you will give you a retarded sense of how prevalent that behavior is.

I'm from New Orleans. Should I be inclined, I could spam hours and hours of public indecency videos on here. It would be dumb then, for me to extrapolate that Mardi Gras needs to be banned.

This thread is a good example of that thinking. Should we ban people from attending a public event because I spent time on the internet watching guys in skimpy outfits? No, per the 1st Amendment. If you have a genuine gripe about decency laws, take that up at the local level.

What I'm tired of is people going out of there way to seek out behavior they don't agree with, just so they can complain and try to have it banned for everyone else. How about you mind your own business unless it actually effects you and stop trying to be the moral police for the world. Especially when that morality is only being applied to certain groups.

Should morality not be applied to lgbt?

Nice tuck. What about public indecency laws? Should the lgbt be exempt from that?

Sure. Not what this thread is about though. This thread asks whether or not we should prevent anyone under the age of 18 from attending a public event based on the idea that you saw something icky at a similar event somewhere else. Something that you would have never known even happened, if you didn't go out of your way to look for it.

Sounds a lot dumber when you put in the full context, doesn't it?
