How often do you watch 'The Critical Drinker' reviews?

Not that often, though I've enjoyed a few. He's funny.

What's a bit ironic is that his content is taking something with a specific job/purpose (reviewing entertainment) and making it entertainment - making them into something like a cooking show or house-flipping show, turning jobs into spectacle. One could actually review his own content in a similar way to what he does, and I think you might find his scripts a little repetitive, relying on the same tropes over and over. If he were a band he'd be AC/DC, giving the fans what they want over and over and over, and not a band that varied it up. Nothing wrong with this - I just wonder how kind his own reviewing style would be to his own content.

Zero times
Why?

From what I understand his reviewing style is largely lifted from a video game critics of the late 2000s just applied to films.

Nope. Never heard of him. He reviews movies? I have no desire to watch movie reviews. If he reviewed alcohol, I would definitely watch. In fact, maybe that’s what I’ll do. I could start a YouTube channel where I just sit there getting drunk and say, “This is pretty good.” Or maybe “This tastes like shit.”

@mkess101 and @PhitePhan would be your first subscribers.

Been several months since I watched one of his reviews. Have seen around 2 dozen over the years. After a while his shtick just got old and tiresome; this is true for any content creator who have a shtick going.

I suppose it's like fads - sooner rather than later one gets bored with it.

Used to watch occasionally but he bitches and whines too much for me. I'll just turn off YouTube and rant in front of my cat if I wanna listen to that shit.

Elaborate.

Leave Kathleen Kennedy/Boss woman movies alone!

Move on. The berry has as much poofters as the war room.

Every now and then.

Bigots? Elaborate.
How old are the old?
Not necessarily bigots but people living in a bubble that think everything is an affront to middle class white men, and that they are the most persecuted group in the country.

Nobody with real problems in life wants to hear much of that bullshit.

Listen to him sometimes. I also eat rice cakes sometimes. I have no idea why he's gotten as big as he did. He's always given off a "product" vibe to me. Plus he stole his gimmick from Mr Plinkett.

Grown man talking about comic books and pop culture no thanks.

He was ok early on but he's clearly painted himself into a corner and is basically a grifter at this point. He mostly posts rag bait. All the complaining about Hollywood and none of these guys ever seem to support Indy films at all.

He is hilariously arrogant now too. Will often predict something that half the net has already predicted and discussed then does a follow up vid being I'm so smart. He's also become overly critical for the sake of it in some of his reviews. He honestly seems like a wanker.

I'm probably his target audience too. I hate the modern Hollywood film industry, I mostly watch 70s- 2000s now , I keep up with new horror but they ain't any better nowadays anyway.

He's doing Gods work! I save money and time on theater tickets and woke TV shows thank to him and Nerdrotic.:cool:

Pop culture journalism certainly will not criticize anyone else...

They live in a bubble because...
