Here is the problem I see ... with this absolutely spot on correct assessment.

From experience... everytime it is a NEW financial entity that just laid out the biggest fuck ton of money ever for a UFC contract...

Cause we have played this game before with zuffa sale to alphabet group and the espn+ fucking deal and blah blah...


They always want to make ALL their money back immediately


Resulting in the UFC quality taking a nose dive and retarded shit like:

"Hey let's book #5 vs #6 for a title fight because money"



So as a fan ... I expect a whole lot of retarded to be on the menu.


And just in case anyone doesn't belive me... literally the first headlining fight of the espn+ era was slapping a title on Dustin vs Max.

Just found out we still gotta pay for ppv yesterday, such a joke, been paying for ppv way too long now, will definitely be looking into streaming in 2026

Ive refused to pay for a few years now.

I was looking forward to buying all ppvs at a reasonable price. But I simply can't justify buying individual ppvs.

I feel like ESPN has been holding my favorite sport hostage for 5 years, and inappropriately touching it too.

But detective Paramount never gave up on the case, and finally they tracked down ESPN and shot him in the face and rescued the UFC from his basement.

I'm not sure what kind of lasting damage the UFC has from the whole ordeal, but I know for the first time in a long time, we have hope for the future.
