I dont think itll be a staring contest. Their styles still have a lot of contrast and I don't think Shara will try to wrestle (I think it's even more likely MVP tries, though I think both guys just stand). It'll be way more exciting than MVP vs Machado or if MVP had fought Wonder Boy.

Shara seems too aggressive for it to be a boring one.

If I was Shara i'd try to take it to the ground if the possibility is there, and just light the dude up with elbows, cos MAN shara has to be one of the most savage elbowers i've seen. The fight before his last one, the guy took him down and Shara absolutley shredded the guys face so bad he just stayed buried in the guard til the round was over.

I gave shara that round, I remember. First time in a long time someone had won from the guard with strikes in forever, third round against Bruno Silva.

I see Shara winning an interesting back and forth fight. He's younger and hits harder than MVP. MVP might still be a little faster, which is just a testament to his physical talents, as Shara isnt a slow guy.

I'm just glad they actually made the matchup, I don't think Shara is capable of a boring standup fight.

Oof, I think that's as much a coinflip as one can hope for.

MVP had more power than he does now, had taken less damage. We don't really know how great Shara's chin is as we haven't really seen him take any monstrous shots yet. Would be a barn burner of all barn burners, that much I know.

I really do wish MVP had gotten to the UFC earlier, so many potential matchups lost, from Condit, Showtime, Lawler and Wonderboy to Anderson, Belfort, Adesanya and Bobby Knuckles.
