Homegym MEGA Thread

Don’t cheap out on a treadmill. If you can find an old commercial one that’s the way to go. Mines a tank

I don't know what kind she wants but my guess is one with a screen. I wish I could get away with a commercial used one but she probably wants new.

Hit up SFE or Sports and Fitness Exchange and look around or subscribe to mailing list. They often run big sales or free shipping for cardio machines. Picked up my Commercial 1750 for half price. Might not set you back as far if you lose the war

Are Nordictracs any good? There's a couple on FB Marketplace near me for around $200.
Motor and belt have been solid for over a year. The electronics and operating tablet are absolute dog shit. Like a broken OS with not enough memory. Very slow and buggy. Disconnects itself and you have to hard reset the system and log back in to everything . 30 min not able to run.

I really just want something simple that just shows me incline and time. Everything else is whatever. I'm going to set it up in my den where I have a TV so I can watch Harry Potter while I get some winter steps in. I'd be interested in those non-electric ones if they weren't so inexplicably (to me) expensive.

After 2 or 3 years of teasing , Bells is launching their Manticore rack. 3 x 3 - 1 inch hardware. Cross compatible. I'm sure they'll be cheaper than Rep, more than Titan $$$ .
BoS seems to have 2 markets, some cheaper budget and then the over priced Blitz line

I saw this on youtube today. I would get it if it's a little cheaper.

He does good reviews. Added him after that one a couple months ago and the he started doing nothing but knives, axes and wood cutting. Haven't watched any since. Almost like Alsruhe. Sub to him for weight lifting and he starts shaving trees and collecting rocks.

Rep is coming out with their own adjustable dumbbells. Placeholder image looks like Nuobells. Interested to see what the actual product ends up being. All metal with 5-120lbs is probably asking too much, but they should be able to come up with something good.

My issue with these weights is that eventually it would wear down. I am terrified of it detaching halfway during a set when it happens. I went with Ironmasters instead.

I've seen a vid this week. Forgot which one of the big names put it up. Was a short clip of a hand turning the dial and flipping latch switches. Looks like Temu wishlist weights. Cheap and might get 3 months out of it before one slips and kisses your forehead

Try Tru Grit. They had the cheapest model. It's honestly not bad. It was less than 2000 last year but I am assuming it is expensive now. Maybe it will drop during Black Friday.

Ha, I've tried bro. She wants to lose weight and I tell her lifting is just as effective if not more but she says she just "likes running".
kilo of muscle burns 10 calories a day just by existing. Add ten kilos on her frame and she gets 100 a day free
