Holm's Camp turned down Cyborg fight at 198

The difference is that it made sense at that point in Ronda's career for her to take a superfight with Cyborg.

Ronda and Cyborg were both seemingly invincible, dominant champions who were destroying their opponents in record time. It made perfect sense for two dominant, seemingly invincible champions to meet in a superfight.

The problem with your logic, for me, is that this wasn't the narrative a few months ago. As I mentioned before when holly said she would love to fight cyborg and respects her etc...the sherdog mocking of ronda was huge "glad we have a real champ now" someone who "isn't scared of cyborg". It's not that you directly that said all off this but people/sherdogians were NOT saying holm had things to prove in her division etc. this rationale is pretty recent in my view.

Holm is mid 30s with who knows how much time left. This fight would be a big money and a big prestige win and I favor holm in the matchup. But again, if I were advising her I would pass at this time as well so let's see who she ends up with as her next opponent as I don't believe it will be Tate

Holly said she would fight her.
Dana offers it.
Holly says no.

How is this on DW? lol
Weird that this has to be explained to so many.

Saying you will fight someone does not mean you will fight them at any point in time under any circumstances, and anywhere.

We have seen fighters like Weidman, when his next fight was Anderson for the belt accused of ducking Vito because Vitor called him out during his negotiations with Anderson and many shertards think he should say 'd'uh ok, i'll take that fight and forget about Anderson and my title shot'. Endless amount of shertards claiming Weidman was ducking Vitor. So sad. So dumb. But a shertard simply is not capable of understanding that a fighter can have other priorities TODAY and yet still be willing to fight that person later.

We have seen many times contenders turn down last minute injury fills in for title fights when the champ has already had a full camp, and all they would have time to do is a rush weight cut with almost no camp. Dumb shertards call that ducking and think they should grab that title shot even if they know they will not be able to fight their best with a rush cut and little to no camp. they don't understand why the contender would rather not wait and make sure they get to fight the champ with a full camp.

Shertards continue to ask dumb questions and suggest everything is ducking because they think if Holly says she is willing to fight Cyborg that means she should be ready tomorrow. Holly saying she is willing to fight Cyborg means she is willing to. it does not mean next. It could be done after she gets that belt again and if she says to Dana and crew 'set it up' that proves she is willing to fight Cyborg.

Clearly not all the time. Conor is an exception.

Cain almost got one despite the fact that he only had two title defenses against guys he already beat and held up the divisions for almost two years due to injuries. If he hadn't gotten injuries (again) he would have had a rematch despite the fact that he hasn't won a fight in two years.

On the flip side Aldo didn't get one despite being s dominant champ for years.

The UFC gives out immediate rematches whenever they feel like it. There is no logic or reason to it.

The UFC would be HAPPY for her to lose to Cyborg, because a humble marquee fighter they do NOT WANT, as the powers that be prefer their fighters to be egotistical, etc, etc, due to the fact that the USA REWARDS narcissistic behavior.

don't know about that but I do know I'm better looking than everyone on here

Dana will do everything to protect Ronda from HH and Cyborg. Of corse he want Tate to fight Ronda next. And with HH vs Cyborg at least he does not worry about one or the other anymore, because he an eliminate one of them.

How can you put the tin foil hat on with your head so far up your rectal cavity? Just wondering.

I don't always agree with what they do but it's pretty clear immediate rematches on the back of zero title defense is very rare. Infact has it ever happened in UFC history? I'm not sure. Maybe a couple of times, if ever.

A few months ago Holly was the champ. A superfight would have made sense then because if she lost the fight, she would still be champ. A superfight does not make sense now because she loses it is unlikely she will get another title shot.

Also, the Cyborg fight is on the prelims so it wos not be a big money fight.

Everything you wrote passed that does not matter.

I never said HH should be FORCED to take a fight (this or any).

I said that after she publicly said that she wanted to fight Cyborg (if she came to UFC) and after her own Manager said the same thing ... you cannot blame Dana for asking.

That is it and that is pretty simple.

Immediate rematches for non title fights when one fighter lost in a decisive, non controversial manner were unheard of but Conor/Diaz 2 is happening.

Forget about logic or precedent, if the UFC wants an immediate rematch, they will book an immediate rematch.

But Holly already fought (& beat) Ronda, what are you talking about?

Cyborg has been the best since before Ronda fought. You're not the best because you have the loudest promotion.
Compare the 2 fighters. If you pick Ronda you have an old stink eye(s)

That's not a title fight. And Conor is a much much bigger name, not that it justifies the match up.

Again there is nothing that suggests Holly would not still be willing to fight Cyborg.

Wait, unless you think if a fighter says they are willing that means 'I will do it anywhere, at any time, without any other consideration?'

If for instance Holly wants to get the title back and then is completely open to fighting Cyborg as Champ and lets the UFC know that, then she was true to her original word.

Shertards have this weird thing that if you say you are willing to fight someone that all other considerations must go out the window. I remember when Chael jumped in to fight Jones shertards were praising him for bravery while saying Shogun and Machida and other top LHW's were ducking. That is so very dumb but typical shertard. Chael was not brave and the others were not ducking. They were willing and wanted to fight Jones, but just not on short notice when he had been in camp and they had not. Shertards can't comprehend those types of decisions and instead call everything ducking.
