You do know that Dana wanted Holly to sit out until Ronda was done with her movies so they could guarantee the rematch? This is where the most recent friction between Holly's management and the UFC came from. Holly wanted wanted to prove how much of a "real fighter" she was so she said she would fight Tate before the Ronda rematch and that she actually wanted fight Cyborg. The facts does not backup your claim that the UFC was trying to avoid the Holly/Ronda rematch.

Even if they do want to make HH vs RR 2, they desperately want Ronda to have the title back first .

The problem with your logic, for me, is that this wasn't the narrative a few months ago. As I mentioned before when holly said she would love to fight cyborg and respects her etc...the sherdog mocking of ronda was huge "glad we have a real champ now" someone who "isn't scared of cyborg". It's not that you directly that said all off this but people/sherdogians were NOT saying holm had things to prove in her division etc. this rationale is pretty recent in my view.

Holm is mid 30s with who knows how much time left. This fight would be a big money and a big prestige win and I favor holm in the matchup. But again, if I were advising her I would pass at this time as well so let's see who she ends up with as her next opponent as I don't believe it will be Tate

Agree. Also people in this thread claiming it made sense for Ronda to fight Cyborg because Ronda was such a dominant champ are full of it. The only reason they wanted a Cyborg fight was to see Ronda lose.
As soon as Ronda lost the Cyborg "fans" was gone.
