Holm's Camp turned down Cyborg fight at 198

It's a lose-lose situation for a top 135 fighter to fight Cyborg. If they win, they don't move up the rankings and it's like the fight never took place. If they lose, particularly if they get KO'ed, they probably won't get a title shot anytime soon.

Called it. It made the most sense out of those 3 (Ronda, Miesha, Holly). Cyborg would not get immediate title shot (rules out Miesha) and UFC won't feed their cash cow to Cyborg (rules out Ronda).

lol who gives a shit about Ronda. Are you seriously not wanting to see Cyborg vs Holm because you want to wait for Ronda? Who might never even come back. Holm vs Cyborg would have been a good fight and one of the best if not the best fighter Cyborg has ever faced. Certainly the best she's faced in years.

Many of us said it was Holly.

Not to mention losing to Cyborg probably takes a couple of years off your career lol.

I can't stand Ronda but at least she was open about not wanting to fight the borg.

I don't know why they'd even offer the cyborg fight to the top 4 in that division. I would think they'd feed her cans for a fight or two to give her decent exposure to the casuals and to make sure the extra cut won't be an issue in the future. I don't blame Holly for turning it down but it makes her look silly when she was cool with it a month or two ago.

I agree the fight should never have been offered, esp with Cyborg's first UFC fight, and a history of problems making weight (the roids things has been done to death and was years ago). Even just in the last year hasn't Cyborg had to back out of a catchweight fight? I'm still weary of Cyborg even making the weight for 198, let alone a fight with a top contender.

Though I think Cyborg will win, and quite handily, I think it would be hilarious to see her get knocked out. All this talk and all these years only to get Ko'd on the prelims lol.

She's more of a man than some male fighters, the only thing cyborg is the GOAT of is growing her head to Tito proportions and getting a Bigfoot jawline in the process

Yea I get that. I don't ever really love people turning down fights but for HH it's risky. She's already in the conversation for a title shot, but the decision isn't going to be based on what SHE does it's going to be based on when Ronda comes back. So a win over Cyborg won't move her ahead of Ronda on the list, but a loss will remove her from the list. I get it but I don't love it.
 
Sitting out for a title rematch > Fighting Cyborg in Brazil where fighters are allowed to juice.
