Most of the ones I know are just trying to earn a living.
I used to meet a lot when. I worked for the govt. Most are burnt out and don't believe in what they are doing. Start so eager and optimistic and get torn down by the system and life. It's kinda a sad field for many

They work there, you complete dolt. That’s what many social workers do, they work with people who are poor. This girl has worked there for 8 years.

You don’t seem to understand what a social worker does and as a result you’ve made a disgusting ass of yourself in this thread. That’s normal for you, nobody expects better. But you should at least try harder because you hardly even seem like you could be a functioning adult.

The whole reason he is taking that asinine stance is that he didn't read the article, assumed the social worker was dispatched (as has been discussed here and elsewhere), was proven wrong when it turned out she did this during ordinary (for her) work procedures, and is now doubling down so he doesn't look like even more of an idiot. Which is ironic because the opposite is actually the case.

Ya, gotta seem hopeless,

These people need to be put in jail. Why are citizens paying taxes when you don’t get any protection?

People need to see reality that there are predators and dangerous people out there.

It's been a couple weeks but I thought I read she worked at the place. My bros building has people in that capacity and they generally arent nice to him. This killer apparently thought he was losing his SSI or housing, maybe he blamed her. Dont know.

She worked there for 8 years and the residents loved her and spoke very highly of her. It’s all in the article.

Seattle's a crazy city. Homelessness, addicts, neutered police. We're probably an example of where the country is headed.

Even the more right wing posters reading this thread are all

Ya, I think I read that but I dont always believe what's said in the paper. Victims are almost always idealized

Yes, that what the link states as well. I don't know why they called her a social worker in the title... Oh wait, I do. Gullible people from the Right distrust reporting that doesn't confirm their beliefs and blindly accepts reporting that does.

Cops shoot first and figure out mental issues later.

Might want to reread your article, and then find a better source for your news.

You guys really don’t know what social workers do for a living? There is too much idiocy in this thread, even by Sherdog standards. She was doing normal social work. The same work she’s been doing for many years.

This girl sounds like an amazing person and deserves better than to have morons misrepresent her life and death.

Sad stuff. R.I.P

The important thing is the man wasn't shot. I'd trade 1000 social workers to give Big George one more day.

She wasn't on a police call though, she was just doing what social workers usually do. Unfortunately this time, with tragic consequences.

Oh, I see. I guess not everyone reads the small print.

Reading the headline of the website, made it seem as though a police officer would be been more appropriate for this situation.

Yeah, the headline is very sensationalist. Bit irresponsible tbh, but I guess that's how they get their clicks.
