Social Harrison Butker: Doxed, Slandered and Calls to be Canceled for having Christian Views

If a person of color said this , there would be no controversy.. pretty ridiculous how society is
Any excuse to inject race into a situation and claim victimhood. It's also just not accurate. A few years back Cam Newton said similar things, caught a ton of shit, and also lost at least one sponsorship.

Edit: I also forgot about Kenny Smith getting shit on a couple months for saying something much more benign. Said that a lady should have shot from the women's 3pt line in a 3pt contest against Steph Curry.

Its funny seeing religious people trying to justify archaic doctrine. Also perplexing that this is the sect pushing against Sharia Law a decade ago.

The saddest thing about this to me is that any human being could possibly think a career would be more rewarding than raising kids. That just blows my mind honestly, there's literally not a single career on the planet that's more important than raising children well, loving them deeply, appreciating them and turning them into good human beings.

If a man or woman really doesn't feel suited to having children, they shouldn't have them and if a woman really wants a career, she should go after that career. And I do think there are different ways to make a situation work where both parents have jobs. But the solution is both parents work part-time so that the kids always have love and a parent home with them teaching them interacting with them having a happy life with them.

The way some people talk about raising kids as if it's a boring rewardless duty reveals profound ignorance about what is meaningful in life. You have to have a lot missing if that's the way you view raising kids. No wonder people's kids turn out to be s*** with that kind of selfish ignorant attitude.

I am very successful in my life and career, but absolutely nothing is more important to me than having raised a daughter up to high school so far and seeing the miracle of her life unfold and knowing that I can look back and say that she's never once felt not listened to, unheard or uncared for. That nearly every single day is filled with great joy and laughter and relationship. Nothing I ever accomplish in this life will be worth more than that.

Not everyone is built to raise kids, and not everyone should. There are people capable of changing the World for the betterment of all mankind whom if they surrendered to the idea that they must sacrifice this for being a parent, the world is a worse place. Or they just lack the ability to comprehend Parenthood and are likely to royally screw up a kid's life. There are people who are infertile, and can still have great meaning to their lives. There are deabled people not capable of raising children who can also make the world a better place. We aren't cattle whose sole intended purpose is to breed. There are childless people all over religious literature who had the favor of whatever God whose mythos they were written into, and many clergy dont ever have kids of their own. I dont see a need to speak diminishgly or condescendingly about anyone who doesnt have kids, or doesnt want them. Doing so is merely a social stigma largely perpetuated by people who want the numbers of human beings up so the wealthy have a permanent underclass.

He is a Christian white male so he embodies everything the left hates.
bad enough "those" people exist

having an opinion about his own wife....... that's too much

They're fine with religious tyranny that they believe favors their demographic. Sharia Law is wrong because its largely brown, or at least perceived that way.

Here's a transcript of the whole speech for anyone interested. There's definitely plenty of weird shit in it. He talks about everything from COVID, to Biden, birth control/IVF/surrogacy, and of course, tells a bunch of women that just spent 4 years and thousands of dollars on degrees, that they don't need a career and belong at home.

It's also pretty damn tone deaf when he's talking about how his wife chose to be a homemaker, while conveniently leaving out that their family has the slight advantage of him being a multi-millionaire.

Where did he say they didn't need a career or only belonged at home?

There are plenty of families (not millionaires) who make sacrifices to allow the mother to stay home with the kids. Many have the best of both worlds where mom stays home when the kids are younger but goes back into her career when they're school-aged.

He gave an old school conservative message to a predominately Christian audience at a Catholic college.

Which is why it's fucking stupid this story blew up in the first place

It's small college too.. That has doubled its enrollment over the years. There's place for messages like this. And when you see the retards our huge University Campuses are shitting out...

And say what you will, the Left's demonization of the traditional family unit has had severe negative impacts in several areas of the country.

My wife (now X...lol) stayed home with our twins until they hit Kindergarden. It was tough financially, but we both felt it was worth it. And I'm not religious. She wanted to do it.

The Left needs to fuck off with its negative stigma of staying home while raising kids as some sort of failure.

You are getting bent out of shape over a speech at a private event you weren't invited to.

Talk about a persecution complex.
I dont give a shit about the speech, I find it funny people still fall into the same media trap.
I bet GM's of National Media and blue checks marks on X needed a pack of smokes after seeing this story.
One side can bitch about what he said and the other side can claim Butker is being censored, persecuted for his beliefs or complaining about the people that did not like what he said. The story is the perfect rage porn storm.

So I am confused. Dude still has his job.
Have we reached the point that people can’t disagree with what someone says.
This is such a media driven story. A Christian man saying Christian things is not news at 11. One side of the media bitching about what he said and the other side bitching about people bitching about what the kicker said. Media Manipulation is a helluva drug.
I just find it funny a kicker is lecturing me on masculinity.

While I'm sure there are plenty who disagree with what he said, there are probably more who have completely misunderstood what he said and twisted it in an attempt to vilify the guy for daring to discuss two types of women and holding men accountable as well.

A great example of two women looking to be outraged about something and being completely wrong in their characterization of his speech.

Who cares. Why is this even a big deal? He is saying what he believes in.

Are you trying to tell me that after my post said just that????

Weird....

He literally praised his wife's decision to NOT have a career to be a homemaker. He expressed this as being closer to God's will, and his earlier language suggested that women moving on with degrees to their careers have been told lies.

His own Mother had a career, still has a career, and the prominence of her career along with his Father's afforded him a life of notable privilege. And if I'm not mistaken his Sister is a lawyer. This is just sanitized Stephen Crowder crap. Pre-determination of what a woman should and shouldn't do, from a man who came from a family where neither woman abided by these notions, and it didnt harm him one bit.

People can choose if they want to be stay at home parents, and if they do that's on them. But he very clearly expressed that that's what women SHOULD do as an interpretation of religious doctrine, and suggested that not doing so is entertaining lies.

Are you trying to tell me that after my post said just that????

Weird....

Your post was tinged with essentialism, the notion that raising children supercedes anything else. You can feel that way for yourself, but suggesting that's factual for everyone is nonsense.
