Lol not at all, it depends on the context. If you have a son that says they're depressed and your response is, "pfffttt suck it up and toughen up", then not only are you a loser parent, but that's being a toxic asshole, that's doing stupid shit.

Telling people to "toughen up" when the opposition does nothing but shit talking and name calling and starting conversations aggressive, then it means not backing down.

The problem is not a lack of toughness on the part of Democrats. It's hatred for everything that has made America successful and a preference for everything that undermines those things.

The state of american politics is just a sad farce at this point. Nation divided. Each side thinks the others are idiots. The candidates from both ends are mainly horrible. The richest and most corrupt/shit talking usually wins. Its all about who can diss the other the hardest and reveal the most low down crap. The media stirs the pot and adds gas to the flames.

It reminds me of the eastcoast/westcoast rap beef on constant repeat. Except with that we at least got some good diss tracks.
 
You would think Obama would have been the one to tell his voters they need to get rid of ghetto and ratchet shit and be more civilized. The dude had the chance to be that guy

In fairness though, provisions that Republicans wanted added and red states’ refusal to participate in certain aspects of it are mainly what fucked the ACA up.

Democrats are just screwed. No matter how bad Trump and GOP are, Democrats are just a lot worse. Nobody wants to open the borders again and nobody wants to buy $9 eggs

That and people can just see how badly California and New York City are being run in their social media. They dont want the entire country to be run like that
