It's certainly possible some Hamas fighters took things into their own hands or some faction like PIJ decided to do something.

Hopefully it doesn't escalate and a coalition peacekeeping task force can be brought in to cool things down.

Sigh, and here we go again.

I thought this would happen. What are Hamas gonna do, get jobs? Their entire purpose for existing is to kill the Jews, they don't have any other purpose in their own minds. They can't just get a different life or job.

Egypt expected to lead global stabilisation force in Gaza, say diplomats

Decommissioning Hamas weapons seen as major stumbling block, with British diplomats advising on process

European and US-backed UN security council motion to give a planned international stabilisation force robust powers to control security inside Gaza is being prepared, with the strong expectation that Egypt will lead it, diplomats have said.

The US is pressing for the force to have a UN mandate without being a fully fledged UN peacekeeping force and will operate with the kind of powers given to international troops operating in Haiti to combat armed gangs.

Turkey, Indonesia and Azerbaijan are also being billed alongside Egypt as the main troop contributors. Egypt is still being consulted on whether the force should be a full UN-led operation.

It is not expected that European or British troops will be involved, but Britain has sent advisers to a small cell being operated by the US inside Israel that is working on implementing the second phase of the 20-point plan developed by Donald Trump, the US president.

The UK is stressing that the ultimate aim is a Palestinian state , which must be seen eventually as a single entity including the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

The UK has already been training a Palestinian police force contingent but the international force will be given lead responsibility under the proposal.

If the force proves effective, Israel will withdraw further. Israel has however been insisting it will retain a large Israeli controlled buffer zone to protect itself from fresh Hamas attacks.

British diplomats admit that the issue of decommissioning Hamas weapons will be the most difficult and it is contributing ideas from the process in Northern Ireland, where IRA and Protestant-controlled weapons were put beyond use including through an independent verification body.
The anti semites in this thread told me this was Israel’s mess to fix on their own. It was entirely on them, no one else can or should help.

The reality is none of them give a fuck about the Palestinian people.

Hasn’t Israel already killed a few dozen people since the ceasefire took effect? How do you still believe them at this point?
Both sides are bitter enemies and don’t trust each other at all. Unless some buffer is created and someone else comes in to keep peace, they’re going to keep killing each other when there’s an opportunity. Any ceasefire deal is going to have to weather some spats of violence.

Who are we kidding though they’re just going to start fighting again soon.

Exactly, although I think it's more than a few dozen at this point.

Israel has already broken this ceasefire, but of course these idiots are grabbing their pitchforks now that they can blame Hamas.

Israel is STILL bombing Lebanon too after that ceasefire.

You cease, we fire.

Beating up children. BEATING UP CHILDREN AS A DAILY OCCURENCE. it was caught on camera imagine the dozens like that that go under the radar everyday.

For good reason. Hezbollah are a death cult and firing despite being heavily defeated. They get some fire back. They are absolutely FUCKED

Good read... explains a few of the major players in the clan warfare.. also very odd

The final major force opposing Hamas in the Gaza Strip is the Bedouin-aligned Popular Forces, under the control of Yasser Abu Shabab, operating in eastern Rafah city. Israel has acknowledged directly supplying support and weapons to Abu Shabab’s militia throughout the war.

Due to access to weapons and financial support, Abu Shabab has managed to recruit hundreds of fighters in the enclave’s south. His personal force is estimated at anywhere between 400 and 1,000 fighters. A spokesman for the militia recently said it was undeterred by Hamas’s purges.

“Just as Hamas gave in under pressure and agreed to release hostages, so too will it eventually give up its heavy weapons,” he said.

Anti-Hamas Abu Shabab militia: 'We will keep defending position in Rafah' amid ceasefire - report

The Abu Shabab militia told Ynet that they welcomed the ceasefire agreement, but have no intention of leaving their positions in Rafah, and will continue to "defend their lands."

Earlier on Sunday, the Israeli military said "terrorists fired an anti-tank missile and gunfire toward IDF troops operating to dismantle terrorist infrastructure in the Rafah area, in southern Gaza".

"In response, the IDF has begun striking in the area to eliminate the threat and dismantle tunnel shafts and military structures used for terrorist activity."

Hamas's military wing denied knowledge of any clashes in the Rafah area.

In its statement, al-Qassam Brigades said: "Contact with our remaining groups there has been cut off since the resumption of war in March of this year.

"Therefore, we have no connection to any events taking place in those areas, and we cannot communicate with any of our fighters there, if any of them are still alive."

Hamas has accused Israel of arming a criminal gang of looters that it says is operating with impunity in the Israeli-controlled half of the Gaza Strip.
Hamas, which has ruled the territory for 18 years, is facing a challenge from armed groups, such as Abu Shabab's Popular Forces, gangs which it says are being armed and supported by Israel.

A local source familiar with Sunday morning's incident told the BBC that Hamas fighters attacked a group affiliated with Abu Shabab in south-eastern Rafah, an area controlled by Israeli forces.

The militants reportedly came under surprise tank fire, leading to a short exchange of gunfire before Israeli warplanes bombed the site.

An Israeli military official later said there were "at least three incidents in which Hamas fired towards our troops standing behind the yellow line", adding attacks were "not connected to any type of internal fighting".
IDF forces still occupy and control just over 50% of Gaza.

Posts are being reviewed.

How is it that San Marino got away with like 30 consecutive laugh reacts on my posts and yet now we're being so touchy with singular laugh reacts here? I literally posted a video going through all of his laugh reacts in my notifications. I was told it's par for the course and to just block him to not get bombarded with those notifications.

If Silver or others are that bothered by laugh reacts why not just block those people like I have?

Why do we even have laugh reacts or emoji reactions at all?
